Default hdmi or digital optical???

i have a ps3, onkyo 606, and a full 7.1 speaker setup. Should i be using hdmi for audio, or digital optical cable??? thanx

Always HDMI. There's no other way for you to get HD audio. Optical only gives you lossy 5.1 at best.

I agree with Ricshoe. Always use HDMI and set the PS3 to output audio in PCM so that you get HD audio.

+1...hdmi without a doubt. just make sure you go into the ps3 audio settings and change them accordingly. your receiver should say multichannel, this is a good thing

I'd go with optical, since its light it will be a cleaner sound.
