After going thru A bad router to another i need help I'm looking for a good wireless router I got it down to linksys valet plus but more toward the e3000 then there's the netgear wndr3700 so which of those three do you thinks the best ??

I want a router that will play nice with a few pc's my xbox live and ps3 all will be wired only reason j need the wireless part is my iPhone and a laptop

Ooh I dont us nas and all that stuff I like the valet plus since it's simple but i rather have the option to go further with a better router I don't plan on having to change routers anytime soon after

I'm a big fan of wireless N, but only for basic computing and internet use — NOT gaming. I agree that it's always best to hardwire a console/PC for gaming (the same can be said for video streaming, over your LAN or internet). I wouldn't say by any stretch of the imagination that wireless N is overrated, though. You get a lot more data throughput and over a larger area when compared to G.
If you're looking to get a router that lasts you a good long while in terms of not needing to upgrade it soon, then I would go with a router that has wireless N and gigabit ethernet. |
