I have so many films that I must keep them alpha. Much easier to find that way!

Alpha, I switch back and forth b/w keeping Bonds and Batmans together. Not sure which way I prefer. TV shows all bookend it.

In ABC order. The only variation to this is like Batman Begins is followed by The Dark Knight. But generaly in ABC order. If a sequal is out of order ABC wise it still goes next to its prequal. For me its the best cuz i know what the title I want to watch next do look it up based on its Lettering.

I would put the Bond films together, it just looks better that way.
I keep them organized alphabetically. I changed it a couple of times, to organize them by directors, but it felt disjointed. Also organized them on studio once, but if you have just one dvd from a studio, it doesn't make any sense. So, they're alphabetically, with the Blu-Ray's on a separate shelf.

I have mine in ABC order except for sequels. Those are dominant. So if it goes:

Cast Away
Clerks
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

Then for me it'd be:

Cast Away
Clerks
Mallrats
Drawing Flies
Chasing Amy
Dogma
Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back
Clerks 2
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

Also:

VHS
VCD
DVD
BLU

Chain link fence, electrified, with barb wire at the top.

The last time my movie collection got out, it killed Samuel L. Jackson.

Well, I tend to do it by Director or Subject matter.

For example, I have a:

Spielberg Section
Coen Brothers Section
Scorsese Section
Kevin Smith Section
M. Night Shamalamadingdong Section

and then I've got a section of box set sequel movies, like Star Wars, Ace Ventura, Ghostbusters, Wayne's World, ect.

and a section of movies based on graphic novels like From Hell and Sin City, right next to a section of movies based on comics like Spiderman, Iron Man, Batman, ect.

I've got a section for Baseball movies like the Major League series, a section for Muppet movies, a section for animated series box sets like Looney Tunes Golden Collection, The Simpsons, Space Ghost: Coast to Coast, ect.

I've got a Disney section, a section for comedies...

yeah, it's pretty much all over the place.

I guess I still just haven't figured out exactly how I want it, but I'm pretty happy with the way it is now anyways.

I start with all the blue cases on the left,... work my way towards the middle and finish with the remaining blue cases on the right.

some by release date, some by genre, some by lead actor, depends why i liked the film, it could be because its a good action movie, it could be because of the main actor/actress, it could be the time period in which the movie came out, etc. definitely not the most efficient way
