Talking Wayne's World

I watched this the other day on one of my HD channels. That was the first time I'd seen it in several years. I had totally forgotten how funny it was. Than I remembered it was coming to Blu soon, that's awesome. I remember my dad taking me to see this in theaters (I was 7) and than getting in trouble afterwards at the mall, because everytime a woman walked by I yelled Schwwwinnggg and thrusted towards her. Couldn't figure out why I always got in trouble for that at the time, lol. Any other Wayne Heads out there?

I've got 'em on DVD and I'm seriously considering paying the full 21 bucks a piece or whatever Amazon is charging for the Blu-rays.

Amazing films.

I miss Wayne's World. A tim when Saturday Night Live and Mike Myers were actually funny. Times have changed with the new cast and the release of The Love Guru .

I always had a tough time finishing Wayne's World 2 for some reason, would either be late at night or just not the right time to watch. I own both on DVD for about $20 so who knows, someday I may get the Bluray.

There was a post a while back that kind of got off-topic (shocking, I know) in which we were talking about Wayne's World; and we were wondering whether the Blu-ray version would include the Stairway intro snippet when Wayne is in the guitar shop testing out the Stratocaster. I really hope that part is in there. I guess there's some sort of licensing issues with Led Zeppelin or something and they didn't allow it on the DVD version of the movie.

She will be mine. Oh yes, she will be mine.

I doubt they'll restore the Stairway intro. Led Zeppelin is the most anal band on earth when it comes to their music being used in films.

I know, and it's sad because they are my favorite all-time band. Wayne's World is one of my all-time favorite movies, so put the two together and you have pretty much the most awesome thing ever in my mind.

Amen to that. They're one of my favorite bands too, and their greed when it comes to their music being used really is sad.

Showdown in Little Tokyo - also with Brandon Lee and Dolph Lundgren. Not a horrible movie from what I remember, but it's been a long time.

After further research - Tia Carrera had a body double for the nude scenes, and there were lots of visible goofs in the movie. So never mind. Somebody should start a thread about movies that you thought were good in high school, but you realized years later they sucked.

Don't mind double-dipping at all for the first, but I probably won't buy part 2. The rooftop scene where Wayne says one Chinese word and the subtitles go on for several seconds cracks me up every time!!

That is a great line!

The number of quotables in this movie is quite high, almost Seinfeldesque.

No Stairway?! Denied!

I'm always surprised they kept that part in the home video release. Without the Led Zeppelin intro that line makes absolutely no sense.
