A Group in the meaning of it it would , Howwon purchasing X title(I think its CH for 13.99) say at a discount and sharing it with the boards for around cost. Regular blurays are gravy buys as you dont have to worry about dented cases like steelbooks. I personally dont care but I wasnt asked so he will need to wait for that mod to respond

While we are waiting for a staff member to answer the topic title, I'll go ahead and answer the questions posted.

A Group Buy is where a member in one Country (Canada), helps out other members from other Countries (USA, UK, Germany, Singapore, etc) in purchasing exclusive or sale price items.

There is currently a Canadian online site, selling Blu-ray movies for $13.99 CDN + taxes. Shipping is $1.99/disc, up to a maximum flat rate of $5.99. This site only ships within Canada, so a Canadian contact would be required. These same movies have a MSRP of $32.99-$34.99 CDN at B&M stores.

In a Group Buy, the Canadian contact would take orders from members. The larger the order, the smaller the shipping charge per movie, to the Canadian contact. I recently placed an order for 28 Blu-ray movies and the shipping cost worked out to 21 cents/movie. Shipping cost to the member would be determined by their location and the size of their order.

Now, the member doing the Group Buy, would have to provide some references, as a Group Buy can and have become a problem on some forums. A certain former member, recently caused Group Buys to be banned on one forum and requiring Administrative approval on another forum. Hence, my post in this thread, asking for clarification.

OP of Group Buys, may also ask for a small fee to cover their expenses, which in my opinion, is a reasonable request.

John72953, since you are located in Canada, this particular Group Buy would not benefit you, as you could be buy direct from the online site. Send me a PM and we can discuss this further.
