I think there are far too many options on the poll. There are a ton of boring ones.

If you go by the bigger sports:

Baseball
Football
Hockey
Basketball
Soccer

Soccer wins by a landslide. Hockey has just as little scoring, but at least you get to see some people get slammed into the boards.

I wouldn't count chess, ping pong, or things like that "sports", but they are pretty boring. Same thing for NASCAR... although there's always the chance a car might crash and fly through the air.

Football (not American football... football is so much cooler than soccer, that it deserves the name) is probably the most exciting to watch. It's the only sport that I can watch even if I don't like either team playing.

And this is coming from someone whose favorite sport is baseball, and is sad that football has taken over as America's favorite sport.

I've gotta go with Golf...

How is there any fun in watching some guys smacking around a little ball where you have to be quiet for the majority of the time???

Don't even understand why it's on TV!

Now, soccer (real football) on the other hand is a joy to watch... I am American through and through, but I love a good match. Hell, I even take off when I know a big game is going to be played on a weekday, such as the UEFA Champions League Final on Wednesday, May 27th. Already took a personal day for that one...

The problem is, most Americans dislike soccer, so of course they will find it boring to watch.. But it grows on you, and if you played competitively as a youth, the love for the game will stick with you forever and you'll be watching it as often as they show it on American TV.... So, thank God for the Fox Soccer Channel, and hopefully, I'll be thanking God soon when my cable service starts showing Setanta sports so I can get even more European games.

Unless you grew up playing. The Americans I know that love it have been playing since they were like 8 years old.

Edit: Opps. Didn't really read that last part.

i chose Golf, then Baseball, then Soccer. Soccer is OK sometimes. Ill go over and watch Wake Forest play a lot of times the ball will just get kicked back and fourth for 20 mins in the middle of the field then you will get a break out play.

Loves:

Hockey
football
Motocross/snocross
Dirt track racing, gotta be Sprint cars or Late models though
road course racing, NASCAR effin blows
