Default Bar Code DVD/BD inventory device?

Ive seen this somewhere in a magazine that a device small enough to carry in your pocket that could scan a movie while shopping to see if you have this in your collection or not. Anyone knows the name or where I can get one of these? In my growing BD collection Ive been troubled remembering when if I have the movie or not when I go shopping sometimes. Thanks in advance.

That sounds really cool! I could see there being something like this. You'd have to keep it up-to-date with some type of database, though, I think, in order to get it to stay synced with the master list.

I just did a tiny bit of Googling and didn't really see anything that checks against a master list, but there are tons of barcode scanners out there and software that will do just about anything you could imagine.

I have not heard about that item in particular but have you heard about Delicious Library 2???? Its was computer software that keeps track of anything with a barcode.

Wow you must have a lot of movies to need something like that, guess it could be helpful if one had hundreds upon hundreds.

I actually keep a spreadsheet and PDF of movies that I own and my movie wish list updated at all times on my website, and in the event that I want to pick up a movie and am not sure if I have it, I just pull out my iPhone and check it online. It takes approximately five seconds to do that. I do understand that not everyone has that option, though.

no....not those links. Its not PC software based related. If I remember it has like a tiny LCD display on the scanner. Remember its small enought to fit in your pocket. Probably the size of a king size snicker bar.
