Default Initechpeter's Home Theater

I kinda new here, but I have been watching the site for awhile. So I thought I would atleast join the rat race of showing off the home sted. Also I have been supporting blus since the war was going on between HD and Blu-ray.

I agree, nice setup man. 2 things though. First, I'm diggin your vertical center speaker, it's actually beneficial to have it vertical.

Second, you gotta get some speaker stands for your surrounds! They're meant to be either on speaker stands with the tweeters about ear level, or wall mounted about 1-2 feet above your head. If you're lookin for a nice sheap set, I got these and they work great. They're actually down to $40 now

Is that a naturally vertical center channel or have you just done that so it fits?

Also, non HT related, my gf does the same kind of 'graffiti' on her apartment walls... I wonder how common that is.

Thanks everyone for looking. No it's suppose to be horizontal, but it won't fit under the tv. I prefer to have in that spot. That give me PS3 plenty of breathing room.

tbizzle - thanks for the link will be talking to the wife get those stands. Question do you have to put them together??

Drew - i guess our women think alike.

Welcome!

I have the same/similar Athena fronts in my living room

For the center channel, I would suggest angling it a bit so that the tweeter is aimed at your ears.

Very nice.

I would experiment with the center channel where the PS3 is and where it it now. You may be surprised with the difference. If you put the PS3 where te center is right now, it should still get a lot of breathing room.

Yeah you gotta put them together, I think it only took me about 15 minutes with a flathead. But they're great speaker stands, and for $40 too! I think JasonR has the same ones

Well I ordered those stands Friday night. Got them today. Updated pictures. Still need to fix the speaker wires so they are not streched out, but makes a big difference.

Hello Initechpeter.

Very nice setup indeed.
The new speaker stands are perfect. The surround field is incredible now, isn't it?!

Now, I'm checking out the photos and I'm totally on board. The flat panel, the speakers, the PS3, the Bourne Trilogy on bluray and then..... "The Notebook"! Dude, The Notebook!?! Sharing tv rack space with the Bourne Trilogy in bluray?! Say it ain't so!?! (only kidding ) but, dude really, "The Notebook?!

Anyway, you've done good with your system.

Regards.

+1, it's obvious he gets his spot for the awesome Bourne movies, and she has her spot for one of the most popular romance movies. I have the Notebook too, but I'm single, I don't have it on display lol

Where's the charred red stapler? Shouldn't that be on display as well?
