Supposedly the Full RGB option has been corrected. Some of the changes may be the tweakings on features enabled with the 1.80 firmware. See if you can find 'em. Thanks in advance.

since it was only a .01 upgrade there was something very small updated. from 1.80 to 1.81, you didn't have expected much anyways right? bigger upgrades normally are released on the 3rd Thursday of the month, atleast a .10 addition.

Now if you benefit from the RGB thing, this is a great .01.

It does modify the RGB Full setting so that it stays on, as it should. Does this effect movies, or just games/PS3 menu?

It doesn't fix my problems with sharing files on the network wirelessly, unless I'm doing something wrong.

You are probably doing something wrong. Works like a charm for me even in 1.80.

Maybe you did it at a bad time, my downloads noramally take forever, this was the fastest.

um... no.... he's not doing anything wrong. this was a known issue and 1.81 was released for people having this problem

the OFFICIAL press release from Sony says the new update is for the RGB problem. No mention of wireless stuff there at all.

I did mine this morning and it took around 3 or 4 minutes to DL. Maybe most of you did it at the exact same time.

I D/Led last night at about 10pm PST. It was the slowest upgrade I ever did. I attributed it to the fact that everyone was d/ling at the same time. Nice to see the bug fixed in a timely manner, as this annoyed the hell out of me.

The few times the download took a long time for me, were times those upgrades just didn't take properly and I had to re-do it until the faster download time caught - then the program was successful.

i never download with the ps3 wireless because it always takes ages so now when i download something or for new updates i just wire it up at it only takes minutes
