Glad to see some Dwarfers in here! Big, big fan of the series and have Series I-VIII on Warner/BBC DVD & Back To Earth & Series X on Blu. Would kill for I-VIII to be upconverted to Blu, but sadly I doubt that will happen.

Like to start some conversation here, here's my question:

"Why isn't Red Dwarf here in the US more popular? I mean, in the States Doctor Who took off, and even Monty Python still gets new generations of fans. Why is it that Dwarf isn't well known here after all these years?"

Because of the years long gaps between Seasons/Series...
And only 6/8 episodes each Season/Series

I sorta disagree with that a little. Yes, the number of episodes are a lot smaller, but they still exist. Seems like they should still be more US popular. And the year gaps shouldn't matter in syndication.

Oh god yes. By the creators of "Night Court" (?) came one & a half (the second has just a rehash, non-reshoot, of the first) pilots with a horrible cast and early 90's American humor.

Yeah, it sucked. But that's not what I really questioned. Still, the USA pilot should be talked about too.
