I just got my Pro-111FD a few weeks ago. One thing I've noticed is that when the TV is on, but there is no video signal (e.g. my PS3 is off, or during a menu change), the screen is not uniformly black, but rather certain areas are splotchy ... like a dark cloudy night. Once I power on my PS3 and watch a movie in 2.40:1 aspect ratio, the black bars are uniformly black.
I was only able to notice this when I powered on my TV in the dark, but hadn't turn on the PS3. I'm just wondering if this is normal, and will it eventually go away? It doesn't affect my viewing, but I want to make sure that I don't have a defective TV. |
