Question Classic Disney Animated Movies So Far?

Are Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Pinocchio the only (old) classic animated Disney movies available on Blu-Ray so far?

They are not the only movies. A Google search or perusing Amazon.ca will give you the answer you seek.

Beauty and the Beast isn't an "old" classic, it's a new classic.

I'm asking about traditionally animated (i.e. Drawn by hand.) old Disney movies.

Okay, so cut out everything after Fantasia 2000, except for Frog.
Wanna fan-whittle it down even further, or is there some reason why Fantasia, Alice, Bambi, Sleeping and Mars don't qualify either?

Well, you received your answer. Those are the old animated features currently available. The response also gave some additional information, but those are the old titles available on Blu-ray now.

Peter Pan, probably; it's a vault title scheduled to come up in the Diamond series in the next few years. The others? Not so certain.

Separate releases of F40 & F2K have *NOT* been announced in the US yet; all that's been announced here is that the F/F2K combo (the only version available here) is going back in the vault 3/15.

Also: The US version of Dumbo is expected sometime in 2011, but no announcement has been made. AiW51 won't drop till next week. And though the UK spine counts include The Wild, it is *not* a "classic" under the proper US definition as it was produced by an outside firm, not WDFA/WDAS. (The UK instead excludes Dinosaur, thus keeping the current count in sync--i.e., Tangled is #50 on both sides of the pond--but Dinosaur was made by a special unit within WDFA known as "The Secret Lab" so it properly counts as a "classic".) Official WDAS list (before Tangled)

And yes, Mater's Tall Tales is on BD here; but it was also mostly aired on TV (though Tokyo Mater was a theatrical short), so it really doesn't count.

Last edited by RBBrittain; 01-25-2011 at 08:31 PM. Reason: Add WDAS link

Mulan is coming out on blu - that's GREAT news!! I think it is a highly underrated movie - my daughter and I watched our VHS copy a million times (only a slight exaggeration, believe me).
