Default Best Price for the Playstation 3 Move Bundle?

I've been looking around at stores for pricing of the new Playstation 3 Move Bundle.

This is the bundle that is $99.99 everywhere and comes with the controller, camera, and the sports game.

So far I have checked

Future Shop
Best Buy
EB Games
Toys R Us
HMV

and the only store that has any kind of incentive promotion is Best Buy with their 800 bonus points for pre-ordering the Move bundle.

This equates to about $10.00 credit at Best Buy.

Anyone else seen anything similar?

BTW, the Move controller can also control the BD player so it is relevant to this BD forum.

I have no idea what this has to do with this thread but i went down to montreal yesterday....

No video games there or blu ray....

I went for a chance to get a picture with a bttf deleoran replica....it still needs to grow....much smaller than the toronto fan expo but that means a lot shorter wait times

This is the Canadian deals thread. Unless Canada bought NJ, I think you are in the wrong place. Thanks anyways though.

Well, I checked out Walmart and the Zellers flyer. Neither seem to have any promotions.

EB Games/Gamestop has a trade-in promo if you trade in 4 games, you get the move bundle for free. I found three $10 games that qualified for the promo on kijiji and took those plus a game I wasn't playing anymore and ordered the bundle.

I pre-ordered from bestbuy to get the bonus 800 reward zone points. I did this during their online Labour Day Sale? Back to School Sale? something like that, anyway I also got 20% off the Move Bundle and an additional Move Controller!

Whoa! So you gonna get it for $35?! Awesome.
I've never done the trade in deals at EB, BB and elsewhere, do you still pay the sales tax on the total cost before the trade in? For example, the bundle's $99, still pay the sales tax on the entire 99 despite the trade in deal?

i just bought it at best buy for 99.99 and a nunchuk type remote for 29.99

the main package gives me 15.00 in zone reward points and the other remote 5.00 so basically i'm getting 20.00 off

biggest issue now is i have to upgrade my ps3 from version 3.15 to 3.40 or newer and will lose my linux partion...i didnt use it all the time but it was handy every once in a while...and no piracy has nothing to do with it...you cannot hack 3.15 but i believe you can with only a newer firmware (ironic considering they probably took the otheros off because of hacking)

i have to choose between the wii ripoff remote or the otheros...i'm assuming i'll use the move more than i did the otheros (still pissed i have to remove it considering it was the reason i chose a ps3 over a 360 way back when)...thats sony for you

There are a lot of other reasons to go with PS3 over 360 -- unless you are a HALO fanatic.

I will likely get the Move from Best Buy, but I'm having a bit of cold feet especially in light of the large number of movies I'm going to want to buy this Fall. I'm going to try and see if a trade-in is worth my while at EB. Barring that, I'll likely go with Best Buy.

i dont like 1st person shooters on consoles other than the wii...and the reason i like it on the wii is the controls....which the ps3 now have...

i don't like halo...however i saw both kinetic and the ps3 move at the fan expo weeks ago and the kinetic was impressive....the ps3 move just felt like a wii ripoff....except of course better graphics

I was also at Fan Expo and wasn't impressed with Kinetic. The delay was too long.

I thought the Move looked a lot better, but I've always been a PS fan, so I am likely biased.

Your best bet now is to get it from a Shoppers Drug Mart and use their points card. They have 20X the points on all purchases today only which gives you 20,000 points (instead of 1,000) and that translates to almost $30 in redemption value, which you can use for another remote or something.

The trade deals are always better but honestly, it's a lot of luck and a lot more effort for these. The last trade in I did was like a year ago.
