Default Sub Reco for Quintet SL

Hi Guys,

I finally bit the bullet on my speaker upgrade. Though I was still researching, found an irresistible deal on the Quintet III at Best Buy, and brought these babies home.
Now, I'm looking for a sub.

My living room is mid-size with open kitchen, so looking for a decent size sub with filling bass.
1. I read some recos here, and eD A2-300 seems to be highly recommended. But my satellites only go down to 120 Hz(LCR go to 80 Hz), while the eD has a frequency response of 20-100 Hz. I'm guessing this would cause frequency gaps for the surround channels, so thats a no go, or am I being silly?

2. Klipsch recommends the Sub 12 from the Synergy line. It retails for around $350 right now. I'd like to keep it down if I could, so if there are any other alternatives in the $250 range, I'd love to hear them.

The system would be mostly used for movies, but if possible I'd lik one which sounds good with music too ( mostly for my wife )

Thanks a lot guys, spl DK. I'm going through the huge literature he's put on this forum for Subs. You rock

Cheers,
AK
