Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters - Blu-ray Forum

Since Warner Bros is handling the DVD distribution, any word if they're making a blu-ray of this movie? I know it's a cartoon and all but I haven't bought a regular DVD in months and really want this movie.

All I know is that I saw a 1080p trailer for this movie....
it is NOT worth HD. You can just see HOW BAD the quality really is. If anything, it should be lower quality.
For people like me that use Adobe After Effects and Illustrator, you can really see how cheaply they made everything and how quick it was done.
I have not seen the movie myself yet, but from what I saw from the trailer in 1080p, you do not need to get this on Blu-ray, unless they add special content. (Which would likely be something relating to wasting your money buying in on High Def, it sounds like something they'd do.)

I agree it is not a movie that is necessary to have in HD. The animation in ATHF is simple and intentionally BAD because the insane/wacky dialog is the main focus. I think it's part of the charm of the show.

I agree. It is suppose to look that way. Seeing it high def adds nothing to it.

I think that they should just get a bd 50gb, maybe 2, and put all of the athf epsiodes and the movie on them. then they should do 1 bd 50gb of all the sealab 2021 episodes.

It's probably not worth it in Hi Def, but I'd still buy it. I'm a HUGE ATHF fan. Are they gonna release that really short, 3 (or 4) episode season at all? I love that Boost mobile episode!

Most likely never. Warner didn't even bother to release the last few seasons on DVD.

My advice at this point is to just burn the digital HD version of the film to disc, create/commission a custom cover and disc art, and call it a day. (I'm sure a hardcore fan could find enough HD extras online to create special features if they really wanted to). Given the simple animation style I can't imagine an official release would look much different/better than the digital HD version.

There's a "custom" Blu-ray floating around on IG that has the movie in HD along with all the DVD extras. Very excellent quality and it's likely the only way we're gonna be able to get it since Adult Swim has no interest in physical media anymore.

It was actually the creators of Squidbillies that fired Baker, not AS.

Harmon's thing is in poor taste, but I don't see the point in firing him and cancelling his hit show. What would that fix?

He admitted that he deleted his twitter account because of the Gunn situation and didn’t want right wingers to find old tweets to try to cancel him. They found an old video of his anyway.
