Default New Sammy and Best Buy

First off, just want to announce myself as the new owner of the Samsung PN50B650! Just pulled the trigger tonight after being on the fence for some time. Unfortunately none in stock at Best Buy, but should be here Friday! Upgrading from a pretty low/mid range 32" LCD, so the difference should be night and day!

Furthermore, just want to say BB isn't ALL bad when it comes to sales people... As I was standing looking at the plasmas, I asked the salesman what the difference between the B550 and B650 models were, and of course he had NO idea. I explained that I recently missed the sale price of the B650 last week ($1,399) because I was waiting for my RewardZone Mastercard in the mail, and that the current price ($1,799) was a bit too much for me. The salesman said hang on a sec and took off. He came back shortly saying they would honor the $1,399 price from last week! I was so surprised, and told him thanks to the deal I would be purchasing the tv tonight! He then told me there were none in stock, but I figure for a savings of $400 I can wait a few nights Anyway, just thought I'd share my feel-good story. Be on the lookout for new pics coming Friday, I can't wait!

P.S. Any current owners of said model... thoughts? I know it's a great TV, just thought I'd see what current owners think in terms ofBlu-ray and PS3 games.

Congrats! Yeah, that was definitely the right thing to tell the guy, and very cool of him to help you out.

I've never had any issues with Best Buy. I just don't go in there expecting an education. Great deals can be had there, and their financing offers are fantastic. I've purchased a number of big-ticket items there and used their money to do it every time. I have yet to pay them a dime in interest.

I bought the 50-inch 530 plasma in January at Best Buy at a STEAL price. I love it, love it, love it. Before I purchased it, I didn't really have an opinion about which was better between plasma or LCD. Now I am a ardent plasma supporter. You will enjoy it greatly.
