Likely just out of stock. Universal is good at keeping things in print. I think Lucy 4K was in a similar situation not too long ago, and that's back in stock now.

That's exactly what I was wondering.

Thank you for the information.

It's tough to know these days. UHD doesn't sell that many units to begin with, and years-old releases like this probably move very few copies each month. It's understandable that, with supply pipeline issues what they are, companies are focusing on new releases. Reprinting of old discs is taking FOREVER.

That said, this could also legitimately be OOP.

Keep checking Amazon. I found a seller who posted a single new copy there a few weeks back for $17.99, and I snapped it up. It was sealed and pristine in a pristine slipcover too. Lots of sellers don't know it's unavailable right now, and just list it at the retail price.

Exactly, yeah. Studios aren’t keeping a rolling level of stock for UHDs, and not just because of the current constraints on replication as some studios like Warners and Sony have been doing this for years. But obviously the current situation is making it worse.

It’s on sale at Amazon Canada for $16, which is like 5 bucks US.

So, is this one of the disks that looks better on a TV or Projector over the other?

+1. I can tolerate film grain + a bit of blown out highlights over DNR and HDR.

I am not sure where you get that figure, $16 Canadian dollars is roughly $13 US dollars currently.

Like the recent release of Halloween.
Because of the Dolby Vision, it'll look better with a Dolby Vision set-up than for those with a projector.

I just didn't know if on a projector, Oblivion looked better blown up on a bigger screen.

The recent Halloween looks great on my projector, no issues at all. Oblivion looks great as well no matter what some say. It's not a sharp as the BD but it's not the mess some people make it to be. Great HDR, great ATMOS. Plenty of people like it, as much as plenty of people hate it.

Oblivion doesn't have Dolby Vision though.

I know, but that was just an example.
There's a few that look better on a projector than on TV, that was an example for the other way around

Oh I see. I didn't know there were movies that looked better depending on the way they are viewed.

If you can remember them, then they sound disappointing.
