Hey folks
Saw Shang Chi in 3d 4dx Regal in Ashburn on Saturday.... Holy ****. That was incredible. The 4dx worked well for this movie. I will tell you that there is a shit load of shaking when that dragon joins the battle at the end. I swore I saw my stomach jiggle so much that I burned a few thousand calories lol. At the end of the movie I had to pee real bad. Like over a minute of peeing. dunno what happened lol. |

Jusat to clarify something . . . There are no IMAX Digital cameras like there are 15/70 IMAX film cameras. They are all Arriflex LF (Large Format) cameras with IMAX's name on them. Some productions use Arri lenses while others spend more money and use Panavision lenses.

3D and moving seats seem like a much bigger addition then some extra screen at the side where literally nothing happens. Admittedly I've never seen anything with Screen X, but from that demo video it doesn't really seem like it adds much if anything.

![]() It actually comes the closest to what audiences saw the very first time they viewed Widescreen: This Is Cinerama: HUGE deeply curved screen with 2.65 AR. |

I'm not going to a Screen X. I've listed my reasons already. But it seems like a movie takes up your entire peripheral vision, and you have to be seated a very specific way- without turning, moving your neck, etc. I feel like this type of showing only has a couple good seats, and the rest are useless.
I could be wrong, but I'll never know for sure. |

I'm saying, if you haven't seen 'The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard' in Imax 3D with Dbox, have you really even seen 'The Hitman' Wife's Bodyguard'?

Did you see it in a theater in Australia, Europe and Asia? Because if you didn't, then you didn't see The Hitman's Bodyguard. There is played in it's uncut 116 minutes. Everywhere else got the truncated 100 minute release. |
