The film will begin production in early 2022 and will be shot on a combination of IMAX 65mm and 65mm large-format film for the highest image quality and reunites Nolan with some of his leading collaborators, including Roven, director of photography Hoyte Van Hoytema, editor Jennifer Lame and composer Ludwig Göransson (Tenet, Black Panther, Creed).

Got tickets for Dune at a B&B Theater on their "Grand Screen" which probably needs a name refresh.

Saw No Time to Die in IMAX at my local AMC theater on Friday and that first 30 - 40 minutes were amazing.
Also that soundtrack almost knocked me out of my seat.

I'm tempted to catch it again in the Dolby Cinema.

In some locations, NTTD will start losing its Dolby screens to Halloween Kills starting on Friday. Check your local listings if you want to make sure to catch it in DC.

I just noticed that. My theater has no NTTD DC showtimes for Friday.

I have a question for anyone that goes to Dolby theatre around the country. Do your seats shake/vibrate? I went to see Carnage and Bond the last 2 fridays at the Dolby at 67th street Columbus in NYC and don't remember the seats shaking.
They are supposed to move/shake/vibrate etc-thanks for your input.

Sometimes there is the small amount of sound reverberation in the seats, but after a while I just stopped noticing. If I want to watch the movie in a seat that really shakes, I watch in 4DX

Seat shakers are not part of the Dolby Cinema experience. Only HDR and Atmos.

If the bass is strong enough it might cause the seats to vibrate.

According to their AMC Dolby Cinemas website it says ....reserved recliners that pulsate with the action.

I looked at the Dolby website. Didn't say anything about that:

Basically extra bass to the seats. Nothing to actually "shake" or move anything.
Just a bit of kick.

I did check that-you are right about that. Strange-one says one thing-the other site says another.

Boom! And they have. Canceled my Friday regular showing for a Thursday night showing in DC.

A funny thing that I noticed was that the credits for No Time to Die took advantage of the 1.43 AR in IMAX.

The expanded AR in the IMAX version was very disappointing. Most of the pre-title sequence (about 25 minutes) and much of the Cuba sequences.... after that they didn't use it again.

Cary Fukunaga wanted to shoot more IMAX, but Nolan had top priority with Tenet at the time.

See it in Dolby. I saw the movie in both a single laser Imax and a Dolby Cinema and for me, the Dolby Cinema was far superior, no contest. The Dolby HDR lends such a warmth and glow to the image - everything looks incredibly luscious. Tthe fires in Matera, Italy are staggeringly beautiful in Dolby - heck, even the background night lamp on young Madeleine's bed in the opening scene gives off the most beautiful light. There's also heavy use of shadow that the Dolby contrast excels at. I can't speak to the dual laser IMAX setup but the single laser Imax is just pedestrian by comparison. I have no trouble trading the 40 minutes of expanded aspect ratio Imax footage for the 163 minutes of Dolby HDR.

I remember seat vibration would kick in on some movies when Dolby Cinema was first rolled out but it's been a long long time since I've seen a movie where it turned on. I always thought it was a gimmick so its disappearance has never bothered me. The vibration was never super strong so it felt more like a car seat massage than a convincing replication of powerful on-screen explosion or shock.

yeah, I had a major HUGE problem with how the IMAX filming was used for this movie to the point where I was like, 'why did I even bother?' I should have checked this out in Dolby Cinema instead.

I will say though in IMAX-laser the colors and dark levels were excellent.
