Yeah, but two of those discs are DVDs. Us Brits have the option to pick up the four-disc special edition, which has got The Final Cut in 4K and five cuts of the film on Blu-ray, as well as all the bonus features that were compiled in 2007.

It's all very confusing, but the US 4K release drops Discs 3 and 5 of the 2007 5-disc set: basically the other four cuts of the film, plus an additional commentary and a featurette about the making of The Final Cut. HOWEVER, the initial pressing mistakenly contained Disc 3 as opposed to Disc 4, meaning you gained three archival versions of the film, but lost out on various extras. Apparently Warners wanted this release to focus solely on The Final Cut, hence the replacement programme. I don't even know. If you want the complete package and never picked up any of the previous sets, be it the 2007 release or the 30th Anniversary Edition, import the four-disc edition from the UK. It's got everything.

I have a Sony projector. Would I be better off watching the bluray that comes with this or still play the 4K UHD downscaled to 1080p?

Depends on whether you want to listen to the Atmos mix (UHD only)...and possibly which UHD player you own (and whether it does a good HDR->SDR conversion).
I think the Atmos mix is great (on an Atmos setup).

Received mine today from Amazon w slipcover! Contains discs 1, 2, 4 from the 25th anniversary release. Not sure whey just didn't use the 30th anniversary discs...but I have that release, so I'll just swap those in.

Japan has the same region code as US so even the 3D disc should work here, no? I want it.

Wrong thread though.

I'd be mad I didn't see this in time but I just got approval from my wife to pick up one of the Tomenosuke blasters. So, yeah, dream come true! This is a SWEET package, though! Can't believe how fast it sold out.

Because it was a limited release, 3,000 units, and I was doing a favor for fellow BR fans by quickly spreading the word even if it meant violating forum posting customs. For the record, it quickly sold out.

No you're not. I've watched every minute of every feature in the 5-disc collector's edition and some more than once (e.g., Dangerous Days). Moreover, I have a 4-disc DVD bootleg set entitled "Making of - Collector's Edition" with 3-5 hours of additional bonus features including "On the Edge of Blade Runner" from Channel 4 in the UK, "A Day in the Afterlife" about PKD by the BBC, countless short documentaries and interviews, and coverage of red carpet events, etc.

No, you're not.

(In the case of "Prometheus", I found the "Making of" much more absorbing than the feature film.)

Plus Paul M. Sammon's book, now in its third updated edition, which is still (and again) a fascinating read and anything but obsolete.

Just got my replacement Disc 4 (Extra Features) from WB, and there are pits and scratches all over it.

Probably honest mistake, but quoting the large image makes it twice as bad!

Personally I always find it nice when people use spoiler tags when quoting images, Forum Etiquette 101 No worries though, these things happen

Didn't think of that. Just thought the post belonged in the Blade Runner 2049 thread

Hey guys, apologies if it’s already been asked/answered, but does this include a digital copy? I noticed on Amazon the cover art leaves that out, but on Best Buy it has it along the top banner.

It did include a uv copy in the U.K. so it’s safe to assume it will have one in the U.S.
