Re-watched the workprint this morning with a bottle of wine and I've decided that it's my least favourite iteration of the film. It just feels a little choppy in comparison and the absence of Vangelis' love theme (amongst other tracks) is blasphemous.

So who on here owns the most copies of this film? I bet some of you are triple and quadruple dipping on this 4K.

I don't get collectorish about home video releases, so I replace my current edition with the latest and greatest as long as I don't lose anything in the process. As such, I only have one release right now, but over the years I've owned Blade Runner on:

2 LDs
2 DVDs
1 HD-DVD
2 Blu-rays

So, if you consider re-purchasing a film on a new format to be a [multiple]dip*, this impending UHD release will be the "octuple-dip" for me.

That would have made this piece of shit film SO much better. And why does that blonde ****er at the end just die in the rain like that? Did somebody forget to oil him up or something so he just rusted to death?

1/10 would only watch again if the 4K was a Steelbook.

Serious face on: I class 10/12-bit depth, HDR and even the improved compression of UHD vs BD as bigger benefits to my personal viewing experience than 4K resolution. If/when we get proper FORKAY on any given title it's very much a bonus to me.

I'm happy, sorta, with the releases I have so far on disc along with owning this one eventually. Keeping them all.
