Huh, that's interesting about that heavy pink tinting. I always assumed the 2006 barebones remaster of the Director's Cut came from the same master as the archival versions in the 5 disc set, being that it was released only a year prior. The 1997 DVD looks like dog crap on any modern television, so I probably haven't even played that since the 2006 disc came out.

I have pretty much every release of this film but I haven't really watched anything other than the Final Cut in quite a long time.

The best place for the 1997 DVD is a good ol' CRT. (Overscan also hides that cropping)

And it is very curious, makes me wonder if that was a result of all the different sources they cobbled together for the Archival Versions, branching in a differently coloured section that came from the Theatrical Cuts' elements, but a different team elsewhere used a complete Director's Cut print onhand for the 2006 disc (I assume it was quick and dirty being a limited time thing, and compared to the Collector's Edition)

I just have to ask, how common is it to find the Archival Versions Blu-ray disc in the 4K package instead of the Enhancement Archive DVD by now?

I'm curious if Amazon would send me a first batch copy in May 2018. And if it's such a crapshoot whether you get supplementary material or 4 cuts of the film, why would WB not just package the 3 discs from the 30th Anniversary in with the 4K disc, period.

I think warner honestly wants to keep the archival and workprint versions oop making them more collectable

I now own 38 editions of Blade Runner, one for every year of the film's release.

I need help.

I would have liked the three claps, nose pull and shot thrice for the FC.

Same.

Actually quick question how come that 2006 stand alone BD of the Directors Cut can’t be found anywhere?? It’s not even listed on this site. I mean obviously it’s OOP but even when I google it it doesn’t pop up.

There wasn't a standalone BD of the Director's Cut in 2006. It was only on DVD.

Where does KS's post say that the 2006 version was a Blu-ray? It wasn't, it was a DVD. Still have it somewhere.

This was taken late last year so it's missing a few things, but this is the vast majority of my collection. I've listed everything I own here.

I just thought it looked a little too clean for a DVD but thanks for the clarification. Plus I seem to recall some sources saying their was a 2006 BD but for all I know they could be mistaken. Easy folks!

I don't know what else to say other than the 2006 image is 854x480 because I took the capture from my DVD.
