So now I'm more confused. There are pictures on Amazon submitted by customers that show 4 discs and the listing says 4 discs.

- Disc 1 - The Final Cut (blu-ray)
- Disc 2 - Dangerous Days (DVD)
- Disc 4 - Enhancement Archive (DVD)
- UHD disc - The Final Cut

Isn't this what I want if I wanted to buy a new set to get the DVDs?

Oh, my bad. I actually forgot the US release had four discs. Yup, that's the one you're after.

If I knew of an older cheap set that I could buy on Ebay I'd probably just do that, just to have those two DVDs, if even just to rip them, but I'd have no idea what set to look for. I'm sure there are tons of listings on Ebay and wouldn't know what set to look for just to get those extras DVDs.

You could pick up the 5-Disc Ultimate Collector's Edition. Or the 4-disc DVD (released at the same time) which drops the workprint. If it's true that these 2007 DVDs are experiencing disc rot, though, then it's a risky buy!

Considering the first set I looked at on Ebay for the 5-disc ultimate briefcase edition said "Discs have been tested and DOES NOT WORK", I guess I won't be taking any chances with buying any older sets. Plus even standard packaging 5-disc sets cost more than the new 4-disc 4k set on Amazon. The older 4-disc DVD sets aren't much cheaper. It's not worth it.

I hate buying the 4-disc 4k set over again just to get the two DVD extras discs, since I own the 2-disc 4k already, but I guess there's no other option if I'm interested in the DVD bonus content in the best quality and not having to worry about disc rot.

Lol, I just realized going through my shelves this weekend that I did indeed buy the 4-disc UHD set with the 2 bonus DVDs. I forgot that they were stacked so I had taken the two DVDs out and put them in a separate empty case. So I'm all set with those docs.

Another reason why I hate stacked discs - it splinters my collection when I split them into another case.

Huh. I've lots of backup multi-disc cases for just such situations, all mah Disnee stackers have been moved into three (or four) disc cases with flip trays.

That's the one I've got, it went on sale for pretty cheap a couple years back and that's when I snatched my copy. I think 3 of the discs that where in my 5-disc set from the original pressing had rotted? I know for sure it was the final cut and archival discs that were dead (so basically had no copies of the actual film that worked in that set aside from the workprint) but yeah, nice to have it all now in one little box set.

Just wish WB would revisit this one with a better encode of the final cut and actually have the archival cuts in 4K.

I've even purged my collection of eco-cases. I'm the a***hole who harvests all the nice sturdy proper cases and then pairs the shitty eco ones with items i'm selling, either on eBay or to music magpie. You're welcome, secondary market

Haha same!

Although as my collection ages and I realize even the Blu-ray cases "off-gas" onto the playing surface, I've begun to rethink that old strategy. Maybe it would be BETTER to have less off-gassing surface-area near the disc??

Over-thinking things is my jam.

If you received Discs 1-3 and the UHD, that was deemed a mistake, and WB offered Disc 4 for Disc 3 in a replacement program for a short time (seems to have only affected brand new slip copies). Not that I got rid of Disc 3 or anything, for completeness they should have offered the Blu-rays from this set instead:
