Blade Runner 4K UHD (1982)

-0- copies at my Best Buy store when they opened.
Clerk looked it up, 2 are still scheduled to show up sometime this week.

When I checked online around 8 am, nearest copy was in Woodland Hills, basically LA, 100 miles away.

I waited to see if they had a store pickup, but no dice as everyone knows. Should have ordered... Looks like it is going to take a while to get the corrected discs, which I didn't want in the first place.

Amazon just e-mailed me a notice saying it's been delayed. I chatted with one of their reps who said he doesn't know when they're getting replacements and that I can't cancel the order since it's too far along in the shipment process(not sure how that's possible if it's out of stock).

Anyway, at least I got a $10 credit out of it. But this is annoying. If you're not sure you'll have enough in stock, don't advertise it as being delivered by September 5. Especially for Prime Members.

On the whole it's all good BUT on my UK copy there is an apparent sound fault - one second drop out at the beginning of chapter five on the English track when sound goes silent - just after the door shuts and Deckard sits down. It is not present on the foreign language tracks I checked or the blu ray. Bit of a bummer for the ultimate edition. Alerted UK Warner Bros - will they recall? Anyone else got this? Is it on the international versions?

Ok, as I arrived to work Amazon sent me a notification that it has been delivered. So, hope to check it out when I get home!

I ordered two WB TV sets that had a street date of today and Amazon didn't get them, either. So, this may not be a Blade Runner specific issue as much as it's a WB issue. Then again, those two tv sets are readily available everywhere locally and Blade Runner isn't....

I picked one up at the moron valley location, OMS said two in corona store and two in Victorville store. Seems like stores are only getting two, just like pacific rim again.

I ordered mine last night and I'll get it tomorrow or thurs. I'm elite though

It sounded like a load of BS. I'll bet if I made a big enough stink, he would've canceled it(or transferred to a manager who would've). At the end of the chat, he said I could cancel it in a week if it still hasn't shipped.

So basically I can cancel it a week from now if it's still out of stock.....but I can't cancel it today when it's out of stock. Explain that logic to me.

My copy is out for delivery. I was going to give away my Final Cut Blu to a friend but it sounds like I'll also be able to give away the disc with the additional cuts as well. So I'll just need to keep three discs in there so I won't have to stack the UHD at least.

For those who've given up on Best Buy or Amazon, Fry's claims to have it in stock for shipping. And it's eligible for the Buy 2, Get the 3rd Free promotion. If you're willing to buy Blade Runner and 2 other UHDs(Minions for example), you could get it for around 22 bucks shipped, give or take. Provided of course they actually do have it in stock and they're not experiencing the same delay as other retailers.

My copy arrived from Amazon this morning. Sure enough it includes the alternate versions disc and is missing the special features disc.

I'm willing to bet this did, indeed, get delayed. I sure hope it's not by a month though. The wait for today has been absolutely killer, and if I had to wait another month now, I'm going to be super upset. Ah well. Ordered on Amazon, and I'll just have to wait.
