Dashed back to the house and switched to a car with I-Pass. Drove over there. Media clerk at Fry's just laughed when I asked him about Bladerunner 4K. Apparently, they had one copy at 10AM and I was like the fourth guy to show up. But they did have a copy of Gone in 60 Seconds, which I've been looking for. |

Called my Fry's this morning and they said they had two in stock. Hung up the phone and went on their website to purchase for a store pickup. It said it was available on line. Made the on line purchase and then waited for the confirmation email to tell me the item was at the store counter waiting for pickup. After 20 minutes, I received an email that the item could not be found and was not available for pick up. My order was then cancelled. I went back on the Fry's website and it still says the store has it. So both their on line system and their in store system are wrong (since the employee on the phone said they had it). Guess I'll go through Amazon. And these brick and mortar stores wonder why Amazon is kicking their ass.

They must be sold out at the warehouse. I guess a first batch of these got through and WB pulled the release, as it has 1 incorrect disc in it. I got my order in earlier the week before the feeding frenzy began. They had it with the Buy 2 Get 1 promotion, which made it a steal of a deal. Apparently, Best Buy is saying these will not be in stock till October, but who knows.

Wanted to give myself a little space between screenings after seeing the 4K restoration at The Alamo two weeks ago and watched the entire film tonight.

So, some people received the 4K Blade Runner package with:
1. 4K Blade Runner Final Cut disc 2. Standard Blu-ray Blade Runner Final Cut disc 3. DVD version of Dangers Days: Making of Blade Runner 4. DVD version of Blade Runner Enhancement Archive Other people received: 1. 4K Blade Runner Final Cut disc 2. Standard Blu-ray Blade Runner Final Cut disc 3. DVD version of Dangers Days: Making of Blade Runner 4. Standard Blu-ray of alternate versions of Blade Runner What an idiotic mess! And there are complaints about the image quality of the Final Cut on the standard Blu-ray. Mark |

I ordered a copy from Amazon now that it's back in stock. I guess they fixed the disc 4 problem, so I'll probably receive the supplement DVD instead of other cuts blu-ray. I'd rather take the blu-ray disc 4 but at least I'll get the movie in 4K.

So with the UK SE you'll most likely additionally get the 4 other versions of the movie on blu: DC, TC, International TC and Workprint. EDIT: Oh, and compared to the regular UK release you also gain all the extras. That's why I have the UK SE on order. I currently only own the first US 5-Disc CE. The UK SE should also give me the fixed DC/TC/International TC blu. Last edited by andreasy969; 09-10-2017 at 11:03 AM. |

UGH!! Got to my copy from Fry's last night. First of all, what a spectacular disc!! Huge upgrade from the blu!! Secondly, Fu&%in WB!! my UHD has a nice scratch on it, I assume from being stacked on top, since it wasn't a floater. It froze 3 times and I had to stop the playback once, as it would not advance. Disc was cleaned as best as I could before playback, and it still skipped and froze. Got through it fine, but now have to deal with a replacement from Fry's, which they do not have any stock of...
