It's a misprint....should not have happenned, but at least the disc itself is correct......heck, look at the bright side.....this one will be a collector's item once Disney re-prints the correct info on future pressings!

I got mine yesterday and even though the packaging does say 1080i (and disney has come up and said they were misprinted) the movie is excellent!

why the hell on the back of my blu-ray case it says 1080i?, and everything els is in 1080i to,is this a typo or did i buy the wrong copy? i did not see it yet to find out what the resolution was on the tv, but is this tru? if it is what the f*&ck?

Sorry - about that - couldn't help myself - there has been a thread on here for days now - regarding the fact that this is a misprint.

It is just a typo. There is already a thread on here speaking about it and Josh even mentioned there might be a program to help customers exchange for the correct copies when available.

The IGN review of the disc mentions twice the video is not 1080p. I already sent an email asking them to correct this.

Yes the movie is in 1080p and the extras are in 1080i. Disney did another fine job on this one.

Pirates Packaging Misprint

Christmas was great for me acquiring more Blu-ray discs. However, while reading the Specs on the back of my POTC3: At World's End Blu-ray I noticed that the feature movie is in 1080i resolution. Is this correct? Has anyone else noticed this?

All of the specs I have read for the movie online state that the movie is in 1080p as I would expect. I have not had a chance to play the movie and test the actual resolution so I don't know if it actually is in 1080i resolution. I just find it odd that the specs list 1080i for the feature film.
