Aside from those Carnival dancers ^, I think it will be very tough to beat or even equal Shakira’s Waka Waka
She is mighty fine isn't she?

The take-away point though is that in general (lenses, lighting, panning (or more accurately lack thereof) and other variables of the principal photography all being equal) expect more resolution and contrast ‘bang’ with high resolution digital acquisition than with thee ole 35mm films, despite being scanned at 4K, as I mentioned before to Geoff. Of course, on the other hand, the one big plus for celluloid is that it has more of that ‘organic look’ without any post production imagery tweaking.
Bit off topic Penton Man but do you think we should be excited about the Sony announcement today? (Tomorrow for me)

If we get film looking more 'film like' than it has ever done before in the home, then that'll do me. As I said, I'm used to these incremental performance increases so when digital 4K movies become more common and show what the 4K format can really do, then that'll be a bonus.

You sound like you are very much like me. You want the best to enrich your hobby, correct? Nothing like a crisp transfer on a big screen or projector.

It's a VR headset apparently.

Confirmed! It's a VR headset. I was tempted to get Sony's 3D personal viewer a while back but this may tip the balance. Colour me excited.

It's not 3D and only works for the PS4. Just get the OR.

The OR only works on PC. I already have a PS4. My PC is old now but I am not spending a fortune replacing it unless it stops working.

Is the 3D thing confirmed? Can't find info about it.

I guess I can relate to that. To me ‘pitbull’ will first and foremost always be the 4-leggged nasty creature that chased me down the block one day rather than the dude in white singing with J.Lo -

Apparently your friend is well informed. Initially I thought you were referring to the new ASM 2 trailer -

As to the VR stuff itself, I just don’t keep up. Too many toys…too little time.

How about a bike riding sim that keeps you safe while recuperating from any injuries? Complete with rattlesnakes?

I think my orthopedist would definitely recommend it to me because last Sunday (a few weeks earlier than I probably should have), I got tired of riding with only one leg so I tried for the first time since the injury to ride with two legs thusly testing the healing in my fractured knee.

As a consequence, I developed a joint effusion and marked *discomfort* this week…now back to one leg for the time being….or maybe look into that VR stuff if they can figure out a way to blow wind in my face and bugs in me teeth.

Today, and if he survives, some have it tougher.
Not 4K but rather K-9….http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/lo...251327611.html
