Yes, Spidey 3 was also Super 35, with VistaVision for the effects shots. It also got a 4K DI, contrary to the IMDB listing, though the effects were upscaled 2K, natch.

I see, thanks for the info. I always thought that the TV broadcasts were cropped to full screen. Now I know that's not the case.

That was a huge thing at the time, like Superman Returns had some effects finished at 6k

Superman Returns could benefit from a remaster.

No question those VC-1 Warner titles are bad in terms of being so smooth and filtered. I watched Swordfish on BD the other night and it was like watching something between 540p and 720p.

I'm more interested in seeing some Paramount titles get fresh scans. Face / Off and Election come to mind. I also just watched Fargo and was surprised at how dated and harsh it looked, I imagine a new scan would produce a significantly less ugly disc.

Yes, I switched topics slightly without mentioning it. That happens when you're multitasking.

Raising Arizona looks like pure film. Very natural transfer.

When it comes to the Fargo Blu-Ray, its just bad. And I don't even own it.

The halos in this shot make my eyes bleed.

A redo of Spider Man 3 would be great. There's a lot of problems with the older BR.

Since they did 1 in Wave 1 and 2 in Wave 2 I bet this is a possibility.
