Infinity War is likely the champ next year.

Also, Scarface hasn't even started shooting yet, so it's highly unlikely it'll come out next year.

I doubt Annihilation will do that much at the box office. Ex Machina only did $37 million.

My way too early prediction:

1. Avengers: Infinity War
2. Solo
3. Black Panther
4. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
5. The Incredibles 2
6. Ready Player One
7. Deadpool 2
8. Aquaman
9. Ant-Man and the Wasp
10. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2

I think Black Panther will be a big surprise.

True. But I don't think there's the pent up desire for FK like there as for JW. But you're right in that it could still edge out IW.

Well they have such similar target audiences they will probably cannibalize each other to some extent. There is franchise fatigue to consider, Jurassic Park only has 5 films, I believe the MCU has what, 20?

IW is #19. You're right that with MCU Part 18-20 all getting released within 6 months of each other may spread the wealth rather than getting zeroed in on IW alone.

Black Panther will not beat JW2, it's an impossibility.

I think Deadpool 2 will surprise, especially if it's the only big Rated R release of 2018

From that list I will only be seeing Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2 and don't feel like I will be missing anything.

I will be seeing a good number of those but I'm not that excited for most of them.

I’m actually excited about quite a few movies.

Infinity War
Black Panther
JW2
The New Mutants

And although they might not be huge blockbusters, you can’t forget the Horror films:

Halloween
Insidious 3
The Strangers 2
Winchester
The Nun
Abruptio

Sequels, spinoffs, adaptations, and origin stories as far as the eye can see.

In for Annihilation, Ready Player One, Fantastic Beasts 2, and Incredibles 2.

For me, it's impossible to look forward to the year in film until Sundance has happened. That's when most of my years' favorites are shown and discussed.

I like those a lot too, but this thread is about tops at the box office.
