Any new news on Left 4 Dead DLC? I really like the game.... but they need to come out with new chapters and make the rest of the current chapters playable in verses mode. They also need to ASAP make a patch that will prevent newbcakes from blocking the elevator on the "No Mercy" level. I can't play that level anymore. Everyone always wants to block the elevator. It's totally lame!

I haven't heard anything official, but a couple people I was playing with over the weekend said that they read valve was going to make smokers more powerful and the auto shotgun wouldn't do as much damage to the tank. No news on actual content though, and I don't know how accurate that other info is. I'd wait for a real press release or something from valve before getting to concerned one way or another, but I can't wait for some L4D DLC goodness

As for the elevator trick, just join a game in the lobby and make sure everyone is on the same page NOT to do that. I've found that more and more, that is happening less and less. It's not a 'new' trick anymore, and it causes people to quit the game. I've been in a game where the person who did it got voted out, and somoene contacted someone on the other team (via private chat) and both sides called a momentary truce until it could get moved out of the way. Only saw THAT happen once though, and I play a lot.

I got booted from one game for moving unblocking the elevator.... and got booted from another game for telling the people just how useless, weak, lame, newbish, cheap blocking the elevator was.

You don't want to play with those kinds of people anyway. I got booted because someone asked if my screen name was african. That trick pisses off a LOT of people, I can't tell you how many hosts have said that if anyone tries that trick he'll shut the game off immediately, one even said the same thing about hiding under the ramp by the helipad in no mercy.

That was a GREAT bunch of people to play with, one of the most intense vs matches I've been in. I started joining lobbies because I'm sick and tired of people playing a co-op intense game with people who don't use mics.

Yesterday was the first time I've had to play the game without friends... and it wasn't nearly as much fun! After running into the elevator trick three times.... I decided to play campaign and made my OWN lobby and booted anyone that didn't have a mic

There was a shot on Kotaku of a Mall level but I don't know if it was real or not. I'm hoping that they add more teamwork style objectives.

Like if they did a mall level you need to escape in a helicopter that needs to be refueled. 1/2 players can go fuel the chopper while the others defend the position.

If people don't have mics or are lone rangers, I just jump out of the game. I have to wait until the kids are in bed and don't get to play for more than an hour or two so I don't have time to screw around with those types. I've played with some VERY good people (not just talking skill level) and it spoils you. A few of them on this very board, too.

I remmember back when GOW1 was popular, one night a team of my friends and I were playng an allnighter, I got bored, so decided to make it interesting for the other team

telling them, whoever came in last for the opposing team would get booted

ppl were getting pissed lol

Left 4 Dead FTW

This game rocks! If any of you like to play Left 4 Dead, I am not a noob and have beaten all 4 campaignes on expert. Just trying to get all the other little achievements

I promise I won't block the elevator and I will shoot whoever is blocking the elevator!

downloaded operation anchorage and now im running into the same issue i have with oblivion. the game froze once during gameplay and now disc read errors. again, new disc and hardware. before i was have this with fallout, it stopped. for somereason it stops after so long in the game. dont know if it related to level or not. so now i was able to play again with the hard drive attached. no problem. until i downloaded the new content. so now im having this issue again, so my fix was transfer the content to a memory unit. nope. even the 512 mb card isnt big enough cause theres less than 369mb of usable memory. and 369mb is how big the dlc is.

well i got it to work and played about an hour. kinda hard to tell how much content there is yet. so far i like it. its different than the wasteland but i like it.

finished anchorage. found a bug.

over all i liked operation anchorage. to me it was worth it despite what some 'reviews' are stating.

NPD sales for BK:N&B are in, 140k. Pretty disappointing, it also throws Rare's future as a first party into doubt again as more successful studios have just been shuttered (Ensemble, ACES) and EDD has had their budgets cut to get profitability sorted (the only profitable product in that department is Mac Office).
