My grandfather was stationed in Egypt during WWII and loved the history, and though he passed 6-7 years prior to "The Mummy" being released, I loved the film and thought of him a lot while watching it. I had high hopes for "The Mummy Returns" and I just kind of walked away feeling "Meh" about it. On the other hand, I didn't expect much from "The Scorpion King", particularly after seeing "The Mummy Returns", but I thoroughly enjoyed it BIG TIME! Never had any interest in the DTV sequels though... |

have the BDs (1-3, SK), would upgrade part 1, but that's it. returns is a MESS, dragon emperor was a disappointment (and far too removed in time, to the point where it doesn't even fit in the series in my eyes), and as silly fun as SK is, I don't see the replay value in it that I do in the first Mummy. love that stupid little film.

You can't possibly trust Universal with these: I'm sure they aren't creating new scans for these movies....

Plus there is a thing called seamless branching to look at the worst CGI scene ever made even when initially viewed in 2002, look even worse in 4K for Sharknado fans. |
