The thing is, my 65 Z9D doesn’t seem to get much boost from Dolby Vision, not sure why Sony needs Samsung’s dv lite. Their X-1 extreme and ultimate SoC’s are in all of Sony’s higher end displays. Unless they want to put 10+ in the Sony players to appeal to the Samsung display crowd. Samsung still seems to sell the largest amount of displays, although I don’t think 10+ is available on more than a few of their models. It does feel like a head scratcher. ![]() |

The Oppo doesnt show the dynamic information unless the TV is compatible. for example, my Oppo does not say Dolby Vision on Dolby Vision disc's with my non Dolby Vision tv. it'll say BDMV HDR. The Panasonic UB824 is the same way. It won't show hdr10+ or DV unless the display is capable. |
