Looking at the Digital Bits today, I saw you guys revealed the details for Knight and Day on Blu-Ray (same details also given at dvdtown)
However, there was no mention of an extended cut. Amazon Germany lists the movie as including a 117 minute Extended Cut (http://www.amazon.de/Knight-Day-Exte.../dp/B003V4APHK) And the South African site take 2 revealed artwork for an Extended cut as well (http://www.take2.co.za/dvd-knight-da...-8276597.html#) Have Jeff or Bill heard anything about this? Could Fox actually release an extended cut overseas exclusively? |

I wish they'd give kids more credit. Back in the 80s the kid movies were for the most part pretty mature. Even with the exceptions like the last 20 minutes of Explorers when the whole movie goes to crap, they remain very watchable as an adult. Nowadays it's all disposible CG and aimed at a maturity level around 6 before jumping right to 16.
*sigh* I think George watched too many of those horrible cartoon direct to videos in the 90s when he was raising his kids ![]() |

You have to remember, cinema was alot different at that time, and so were peoples tastes. Those Flash Gordon serials were big at the time for Lucas, and Spielberg. They probably wouldn't hold up too well today, but to them, there is that feeling of nostalgia. I was 12 years old when I saw Clash Of The Titans, back in 1981, and I loved it to death. Today it is very cheesy too me, but still a little fun.

I like Clone Wars as well. When I first saw the character design / look of the series, I wasn't too hip on it. After watching it quite a bit, it's grown on me and I actually like it. Jar Jar still bugs me, as does Ahsoka. I'm gonna have to find a way to get season 2 on blu.

I believe, and my memory is hazy on this that the director specifically requested the theatrical cut for Walk the line here, because he feels the extended is too long. I'm pretty sure that the international discs are region free however.
I'm not familiar enough with Knight and Day to say either way, we'll put it in. |

Jeff,
It appears that the Activision bubble might burst quicker than you expected. I hate to say it, but Im glad its happening. http://gamasutra.com/view/news/30634...ion_Hubris.php Hopefully it will happen before Call of Duty mappacks go up to $20 and before they start charging to play online.... Sorry, I know this isnt bluray related, but given the way he have poked fun at Activisions business model I couldnt help but bring it up! |

The quality of the episodes is quite good. There are times when it gets silly (the battle droids), but overall it caters to a pretty mature audience. The "Hive Queen" episodes (3 of them) were pretty scary for my kids but that's OK by me. My wife shelters them too much. Also, the Boba Fett episode at the end of Season Two is outstanding. |
