As I understand it, they want it as large as possible. It's something I've brought up before with various people

Has Pulp Fiction been bumped? I thought it was announced a while ago, but I don't see anything about it anymore. Would it be wise for a re-announce to go along with Basterds???

Is there any chance they are going to rerelease the saw movies? The PQ on the first on sucks. Plus there is no extras, which dissapoints me greatly.

Pulp Fiction is a constant mystery of movement. Just say the F word occasionally interspersed with "royale with cheese" and you should be fine

I doubt Saw is getting re-released anytime in the near future.

Hi guys, for those of you interested in some upcoming classics

I've just heard an interview to George Feltenstein on the Dick Dinman show (it's part IV of a series on the Oz blu-ray release), http://media.usm.maine.edu/~wmpg/arc...C%20091120.mp3), and he says some interesting things, basically:

"Dr. Zhivago" is coming out next year, and it's a full photo-chemical restoration.
"A star is born" is coming out next year.
They're working on "A streetcar named desire" for 2011.
They're figuring out how and when to release "Ben Hur".
The most famous MGM musicals, like "Singing in the rain", are NOT coming out yet, meaning NOT next year.

Because they're not trying to build a lightening catalog to win a format war, and are releasing things in the natural order they otherwise would have

Jeff,

Is it a safe bet to assume that we will not see many more announcements for movies for 09? It seems like the studios have moved on to announcing Q1 titles now, aside from the remaining summer movies that haven't been given a date (is there any of those left? I can't remember).

Jeff,

Why the hell do people even bother posting stories about a bluray drive being the in the 360? MS has denied it repeatedly and none of the rumors ever end up coming to fruition

Why waste our time?

I believe the latest news/rumor is not that a BD drive will be in the 360, but a a BD drive add-on accessory may be available in the future for the 360 in order to watch movies.

Hi Jeff,

Are those of us hoping for Disney's The Three Musketeers and for that matter other Musketeer films going to have to wait until this 3D T3M film comes out?

Thanks,

Chris

Yeah but I thought Sony owned the rights to Blu-ray and why would they let MS use it

There are many IP holders in Bluray. Sony is one of many. I believe Panasonic holds more IP in Bluray than anyone....
