I agree. The Star Wars films are good, but I'm just getting a bit tired of them. Most the time I end up falling asleep if I throw them on. They just don't have the lure they used to, and I'm really tired of the hype they put out each time they release them like they're the greatest thing ever. Lucas seemed to be a big preacher of HD and having the best presentation possible for these films and frankly I'm surprised we didn't see more from him early in Blu-ray, he should have been a strong supporter of the format given his previous comments on presentation and such. I honestly just don't think their eventual release will be as popular as they might think, but sales will probably be pretty good.

Kris,

I agree with you. Other than "Star Wars" and "Empire," the rest of the movies are mediocre and the dialog is at best poor and in a lot of cases cringe-inducing.

But I'll probably buy them anyway

Well people are always "excited" to see what sort of changes will come to pass each and every time. Im really hoping that they CANT make them in 3D.

Frankly Id be happy to see Willow on bluray. Was one of my favs as a kid and its one of Val Kilmer's best roles.

After Chris Knight of course ;-)

Speaking of which

Are the Indiana Jones blurays still on track for release this year?!! There was a lot of talk about them last year.

This year not a peep...

And they wouldn't say anything about that until they're ready to do the big splash, probably around Comic Con

Works for me. I just hope they are indeed coming this year since we got our hopes up last year only to get the Alien Quad and Indiana Jones pulled out from under out feet.

In regards to my 3D comment for Star Wars Im just hoping it doesnt work so they dont get another excuse to delay the films.

They wouldn't delay it for 3D, 3D lets you sell it twice

Personally I'm hoping they don't bother at all. With the prequels it could work since they're essentially one big CG movie where they have all of the vectors, distances etc required to do a decent job faking it. Originals, no way

For me, it's "Empire" and "Return," the films co-written by Lawrence Kasdan. Between those films and "Raiders," Kasdan was the best thing to ever happen for Lucas.

I would say Inception's got a good shot, I wish they'd retained it for Galaxy Quest, but I understand the effect is a bit lost on a fixed width screen (in the theater, the curtains pulled back with the doors and it was AWESOME). Only if the movie contains actual IMAX footage do I see it continuing to happen

Btw, I recommend you give Splinter Cell Conviction a try. I had a lot of fun with it eventhough it is short. I dont feel it was as good as Chaos Theory though which is my fav Splinter Cell game of all time.

Yeah I know Bill does the facebook, he doesn't like the forums, I'm happy with our own spaces

No interest in stealth games.

Conviction is only a stealth game if you choose to play it as a stealth game. It can be played all guns blazing if you want.

Im curious if Alan Wake will be any good. From what Im reading is that they cut a lot of content so they could sale it as DLC. Doesnt make me happy.

They did not cut a lot of content for DLC. The idea is to have regular installments. The DLC in the collectors box is the Christmas Specual so to speak
