Plus Ubisoft is French. French Revolution for sure. I could potentially see an AC game set in NYC in the 1920s, but nothing really in America before at least the late 1800s
don't forget, it does not need to happen in one city, that was one thing I liked about AC2 that we dd not have in AC:B how there where many locations.

On the other side I think US or French revolution would be way too early. I think 1620's -1640's France (Louis XIII vs Cardinal Richelieu) -"three Muskateers" time would work well.
then it could be followed with the 1750's-1760's and the French and Indian War/seven year war before the American and French revolution.

All you really need is that cities have a tall building or a hand full of them so that they can be used for eagle vision. And political strife where the real war can be hidden.

At least that is my opinion

Hey guys, for those of you who complain Disney's not releasing catalog titles

http://scifipulse.net/?p=44056

A half an hour more, personally I don't think it's going to help I remember Stan the Man telling us how they were going back to Romania for reshoots to make it extra awesome.....they didn't work

So is this going to be an official Disney release? I thought it was going to be one of those shady made-to-order deals that Pyun had been making.

I dunno, that's the first I've heard about it

I do find it rather unlikely it's a disney release though If I were Marvel all I'd want to do is burn that movie.

I do think they should get some of the old Spidey TV show up on hulu just for shits and giggles

Jeff, at what point is Warner Brothers/New Line going to release the extended cuts of Lord of the Rings individual releases? 6 months after the boxed set? Shorter? Longer?

I couldn't say, but not this year, and I wouldn't be suprised at longer than that, probably around the time Hobbit comes out so they can shove a ticket on the box.

People who want the EEs want all 3 of them typically. Pretty sure that box won't stay at $90 either. I'm expecting a street price in the high 60s.

That price does need to come down since the majority of the discs are DVD which are probably just leftover EE discs that were sitting in a warehouse.

As always, it is not the cost of the media, but what's on it.

The total cost for all the DVDs put together in that box for WB is less than $5.

It's not Hulu, but check Netflix this summer. It's expected to get Spider-Man (1994-‘98), Spider-Man (1967-‘68), Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends (1981), and Spider-Man (1981-‘82).

I assume those are all cartoons. Was one of those with Ice Man and Fire Star, or am I thinking of another memory from my youth.

And whats "ON IT" has already been paid for long ago. I still just wish they would have put all of the old EE supplements on one bluray.

But whatever, its not like Im not going to buy it. I recently got rid of my EE dvds so I will need those supplements.

Which would cost a lot of money and time. Those discs are incredibly complex, it's not a simple dump job. You're probably talking 2-3 weeks of authoring easy to catalogue and replicate those discs. Maybe more. Reverse engineering complicated DVDs like these is a nightmare to put it lightly

It STILL should have been done if they are going to charge an MSRP of $120, (sale price of $83).

Thats all I have to say about that. I do feel that Warner made the RIGHT decision to include all previously released extras, BUT they would have been better served by porting them to a single BD.

I am pleased with the fact that they split the movies on two discs. Thats the most important thing they got right.

I'm pretty sure WB feels that the time and limited resources of their authoring crew is better spent on new titles, especially when the end net result is the same. You're talking a month's work probably (or close to it) for 2-3 people.

All the good that has come out of these releases (two discs for each film, the fact they are being released now instead of post-Hobbit and including ALL the previous extras despite being on dvd) makes the release good enough for me. I do hope the video quality ends up being exceptional though.

I'm with you, Merrick. I think they should've undertaken the effort, especially at the price they're asking, and it's a bit classless that they didn't. However, it's my only real caveat/frustration with the otherwise mouthwatering set and it's not anything to throw my toys out of the pram about. I'll harumph about the amount of shelf-space I'll have to clear for it, but the set will be in my hands as soon as they let it loose.

Agreed. If the budgets for these sets are as limited as we are lead to believe then they very wisely chose to make sure that the video quality was given top presentation.

I am curious for your thoughts on Harrison Fords opinion that CGI is being overused and turning movies into video games.

http://thered99.com/370/entertainmen...s-cgi-effects/

I agree with him in many ways. Far too often special effects are used instead of strong character development.

Personally I miss a lot of oldschool special effects such as models.

I think the increase in this condition is co-incident with the CGI era, and is not its product.

Also, I don't tend to pay too much heed to Harrison Ford's opinions on story. Had he been allowed free exploitation of his concept of character, he would've utterly ruined my favorite movie of all time.

I assume you are talking about Blade Runner? Or are you talking about Return of the Jedi?
