T3, haven't heard about a new version, but haven't been looking that way either. So maybe. Personally I'd look at the Sony import that will be lossless and hopefully not DNR'd

Was wondering with the Superman The Movie was it to be a 2disc or a single disc. My case has a slot for 2discs and so does my freinds. And if it was a single disc along then we do a case that can hold 2discs. Thanks.

No, they just ran out of single disc cases at the factory

SOTL couldn't say, maybe it missed the master solicitation from Fox for some reason, i doubt there's any particular direct malice involved

Disney just announced a new Lilo & Stitch re-release for DVD. I'm praying for a Blu-ray, but know there's like a 1% chance of that happening...

Disney has been really bad about catalogue BDs... Sure they put out the Platinum titles twice a year, but they have so many classic animation titles that aren't Platinum and they haven't put out a single one. You'd think they'd try to build the market with those so the big Platinum releases would sell even more.

I don't import (well, I purchased "1408" online and got the Alliance version instead of the Weinstein version, and I purchased "The Forbidden Kingdom" online and accidently got the French/Canadian version... but both were by accident) as I'm one of those sticklers for case uniformity and I don't like odd symbols (UK ratings) or foreign languages on the covers.

Not to mention that if I was going to get one, it probably wouldn't be T3, which I wasn't crazy about, and I already have (both 1080i version and 1080p replacement version).

Mainly I was just curious as to whether or not there will be any changes (like "lossless") since Amazon/DVDEmpire are both listing the earlier T3 disc as discontinued, and the new DVDEmpire listing for T3 in May has a different UPC code listed.

Put the import in the WB case. I have Buena Vista's lossless/un-DNR'd Face/Off in the same box as Paramount's, using their cover art

I've actually considered this (I got "Face/Off" as part of Paramount's 2-pack for $19.99 at Wal-Mart), and BOY did that release have awful PQ.

I may try it with T3 later this year as well... I don't know!

I may try it, because now that ABC has cancelled "Life On Mars", I'm interested in buying the UK releases of the original UK series.

Hi Mr. Kleist, quick question for you.....

I doubt this movie can get anymore violent than it already is, but have you heard any rumblings about the upcoming Punisher: War Zone blu-ray being "uncut", "unrated" or "un" anything?

.....any input would be greatly appreciated!

No clue on Punisher

It's good that ABC is letting Life on Mars not only play out, but canned them early enough to write an ending. It's really sad that more networks are doing that, how hard would it have been to can Las Vegas for example 2 weeks before they stopped filming so they could shoot a final hospital scene? Now since Knight Rider looks like it's headed for the scrapheap, they won't even get to film with Hasselhoff. Who knows, maybe some miracle will get them 13 for next year to try to save it with the Hoff. And will give them time to hire new writers

I'd love for it to continue myself, but I agree that at least they did so early enough to allow them to film and ending. I've already seen one show I watch end their season on a cliff-hanger... and the chances of it being picked up are slim. I've also been reading of several more series I watch that are still "up-in-the-air" ending with a cliff-hanger.

That was stupid... which is why stories like THIS are so awesome!

I enjoyed the telemovie/backdoor pilot for the remake (which included "The Hoff"), but the series was disappointing (other than the eye candy)... until they killed off/fired half the cast, and I've rather enjoyed the series since then. Granted, the dialogue could still use work, and I'd prefer for KITT to "lose" the ability to transform into other cars in Ford's lineup... but other than that, I actually like it.

One of my issues with these shows getting cancelled, is that with the market for TV on Blu-ray so small, even when the COMPLETE series are being released on DVD, it's not on Blu-ray... and (aside from "Firefly") the odds of some of these series (like "Knight Rider" and "Life On Mars") coming to Blu-ray are slim to nil.

I'd say Knight Rider, due to the eye candy factor has a good chance at Blu-ray myself, especially if they give it a second season

I think that the whole bit with KARR, properly voiced by Peter Cullen was awesome, especially when KITT killed him by turbo boosting through his chest

The real problem with the series is that there were warring factions about the identity it needed to take. I enjoy the show for the cheese, and I think it could be good if it's just given some time to grow. I'm glad that GST threw the whole "Turbo boost isn't realistic so it's out" out the window and put it back where it belongs

Getting the real KITT in there would be a good step

Just FYI to all, there are 2 books of the 4400 coming out in June and October that supposedly will wrap up the series. Just too bad USA couldn't let them shoot a couple of TV movies *sigh*

Since CBS just announced 2 and 3 more seasons for The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men, respectively, might we be seeing either of these shows on blu-ray some time soon? Or any of the current network sitcoms?

If the new HBO series East Bound and Down (starring Danny McBride as a foul-mouthed, disgraced professional baseball player trying to make due as a high school gym teacher) does well enough in its first season it could very well wind up on Blu-ray.

I think it's very strange that NBC has not tried to create Blu-ray versions of comedy series like The Office, 30 Rock and My Name is Earl.

"My Name Is Earl" is Fox.

This isn't the first time this has happened in the last year, or even the last few months. I couldn't find Hulk (Ang Lee) on many shelves on release day; ditto for the recent Cure: Trilogy release, Ghost In The Shell 2 and My Name Is Bruce. While I don't suspect there is any malice or specific wrongdoing involved, it does seem that there is a sense of priority happening wherein the retailers are determining which discs are important to sell and which ones are going to be cult releases and not worthy of the same consideration.

They're not going to do that with Silence of the Lambs though, which is most certainly not a cult title

I said last year that KR would have a good chance at Blu-ray (due to the "eye-candy"), but after the ratings kept plummeting and it got "cancelled" (for all intents and purposes), I gave up on it.

If "Knight Rider" gets a surprise pick-up (ala "Jericho"), I'll get a chair and move it by the door for when Jessica Alba comes to visit after leaving her husband.

The "problem" with KARR was that they started building him up since the very first episode, and "he" was taken care of in an episode. I realize that the "retooling" (cutting the cast members) probably affected the story they were planning to tell, but I would have preferred, at least a two-parter with some more story/characterization put into it.

I just think it's a shame that it got better AFTER it was already announced it was ending early. If they had kept the style more in tune with the movie, and the later episodes, we might not be watching the probable series finale tomorrow night.

I don't mind the Mustang (though it could have been cool to have a "classic" car tricked out with KITT-tech), I don't mind Val Kilmer as KITT (though William Daniels would have been cool), I just didn't want the show to make you feel you're watching a Ford commercial.

Sucks about "The Big Bang Theory" though, as I would have bought a Blu-ray set day one, but I'll be passing on the DVD release and waiting for the BD release.

Universal brass wants it to succeed. The franchise is HUGE outside of the US, especially in Asia (it literally still airs in primetime in South Korea), so I think a last gasp to save it, especially sine they have Hoff signed will get them those 13.

Given the flash factor, I do think that it's got 60/40 for Blu, but maybe I'm optimistic
