Well, they'd be fools to miss July 20th, given that it's the 40th anniversary of the landing

BTW, I thought I remembered reading that Jurassic Park needed some serious work before it's ready for Blu. Can you comment, if you know, specifically what the issues with the print are that would need to be fixed before they put it into production for Blu? Is it deteriorated, dirty, scratched, etc.

If it's that bad, one would hope that since it's a Spielberg film that he would make sure the proper resources and time are given to the film to ensure a great eventual Blu release!

I think you can pretty well count on that. A bunch of critics lamenting the quality of something as big 'n' spectacle-y as Jurassic Park on Blu-ray would be quite a black eye.

Well hopefully they hit that date. Apollo 13 is such a great film. Day 1 for me.

Also, TrueHD has better volume or dialogue normalization tags. Even before the HD versions, I always thought DTS sounded too "raw"

I second that. While I don't contribute much on this thread (aside the occasional cries for torches and pitchforks ) I don't want to wade through another pointless debate on lossless audio as I do read this thread on a daily basis.

I just think most of us will react to seeing that trilogy in HD the same way the scientists reacted the first time they really SAW Jurassic Park in the first movie.

See, someone's on the ball

Before anyone asks, it's highly unlikely From the earth to the moon will make it out. On the upside, that means that should HBO consider it a worthwhile expense, they could redo some of the CG to HD levels

Jeff's going to hit me for this(ow) but I figured I'd ask him since no one else seems to know. Any word on Lions Gate's plans for Boy Meets World since they bought the rights to the show from Disney?

Disney should sneak out Armageddon too (high bit AVC and DTS-MA)!!! Ties in with the whole "space" thing, and also co-incides with Bay's new "intimate drama" that stars robots from space or something along those lines.

I thought only WB and Paramount used dial norm on their TrueHD tracks. I recommend listening to the TrueHD track from Sony on the Casino Royale 2-disc set.
