Every chance I get, I recommend companies stay away from them until they get the problem under control, but the ral problem is that there are very few other sources of these style of cases
Since we are discussing cases, this leads into the next question: "But what would you have them use?"

or

"Do you think the Battlestar Galactica will eventually be released with more traditional cases?"

I mean, it's a great set, but cardboard?

Looks bad, plus doesn't fit on my shelf. Plus, I really don't need the bling. I am my mother's child - "Don't give me anything I have to dust."

Given Universal's TV on Blu-ray releases ("Heroes"), I'm assuming ANY TV release by them will be cardboard (ala DVD), but you bring up a question I want to ask.

If I don't want to buy the Complete Series next week, will I have to wait long for Seasons 1, 2.0, 2.5, 3, and 4.0?

Let me rephrase MY question, how long will I have to wait for individual seasons of "that space show" that Universal is releasing the "Complete Series" of next week?

Jeff,

Any idea what happened to the Special Edition of Night of the Hunter? It was supposed to come out last year, but it was canceled and I can't seem to find out why. It's a shame that the only version available is that cruddy DVD from the year 2000. Are they planning on a Blu-ray release?

Thanks.

No time at all if you order from Australia and I think Europe. Otherwise they'll probably be dribbled out after xmas

Yeah, I know about the Australia releases, but I'm in no hurry. I'll probably go ahead and get BSG 4.5 though since it shouldn't be too long before the rest of the series is released...

I don't know if WB's switch is total or official, or if DTS just...encouraged WB for Watchmen. Either way, the trailer was likely cut together months ago

I really wouldn't worry about it either way, the sound will be excellent as long as they don't use that horrible blown out "home theater mix" with the bass through the roof from the theatrical FOTR.

Are the seasons in the complete box packed in removable individual digipacks? Or is the only way to store them is to keep them in that huge box?

That's how it appears, but I somehow doubt anyone is sending me a copy for a personal inspection

The audio for Gladiator is going to be DTS HD. The only other title I know of that Paramount distributed with DTS HD was Top Gun. I believe that was due to the request of Tony Scott. Is this a similar situation with Ridley? or is Paramount testing the waters as well...

The Scott Bros have a longtime involvement with DTS similar to Spielberg (I don't know if they have stock though)

Jeff,

Amazon asked me to confirm I was ok with a "change" to my Braveheart order. When I logged in, the release date Paramount announced of Sept 1 is now gone. Other retailers still show for Sept 1 though

Do we have some bad news coming, or is this just an Amazon "error". Guessing it's the latter, but wanted to be sure.

Paramount released CSI Season 1 in DTS HD-MA as well. It's in 7.1.
