I was watching "Clash of the Gods" last night. The first name that pops up on the end credits was Bill Hunt as a producer. Is that this Bill Hunt, or is it a common enough name?

I'd love to at least grab a companion DigiBook for Batman Returns.
This is another set I hope gets broken up soon. I despise Batman & Robin, so I don't know if I can buy the set. It's $72.99 right now on Amazon, but that's still a bit steep for me considering B&R is in there.

Hey Jeff,

I was glad to see Bill post some news on the Alien Quadrilogy (anthology?) today on the bits. What are the chances that it gets pushed back yet again now that they are more or less going forth on a fifth film.

I do really hope that Ridley Scott makes the film more in the vein of the first one and gives it an old school edge.

Also, will we reach a point where new special features are all done in HD? They're doing a better job of this lately, but we're still getting newly produced content done in SD. The latest example being that new documentary found on the American Werewolf in London BD.
I have a hard time seeing why anyone would WANT the Bourne films separately. If you like one, you pretty much like them all.

While Bill has done some work, I don't recall him ever mentioning something called Clash of the Gods

I don't really like the second one. The third one ws improved, but they still need to go back more to the first.

The set is $71.99 on Amazon. If those are separate, they'll probably be $20 each. The set is just priced too high for 3 catalog titles and only 3 discs.

Thanks, I should have mentioned it was on A&E and was academic in nature following the story of Odyseus(for now at least)

I'm with you. I'll probably end up just ordering the UK Batman Returns eventually. Wish it was a digibook though.

Any word on a DVD (or BD?) release of the third season of Morgan Spurlock's show 30 DAYS?

Looking grim unless Fox decides to consolidate the releases and throw it in for completeness

Are you speculating or is the situation "grim" based upon something a TCFHE or FX exec has said?

Was the show canceled after season three? I Googled around, including the trades, and didn't find word.

My understanding is that Fox distribbed the first season on DVD but Virgil Films and Entertainment (f/k/a Arts Alliance America, f/k/a Hart Sharp Video) distribbed season two. To wit, FoxStore.com only sells season one.

I'll kick in $5 and take B&R.

Any chance of the TOS Battlestar Galactica on Blu-ray?

It wasn't cancelled, but they haven't ordered any new episodes,so it's essentially cancelled. I actually might have been in one of the episodes, I made it past the first round anyway In the end, speaking objectively I think that they made a better choice for the purposes of the program than I would have been. One of the things I always admire about 30 Days is that it's not looking to necessarily stoke conflict but to put someone in an environment where they're uncomfortable so they grow from it, and the audience gain new perspective. And I'd say with the exception of one or two that mostly worked out.

Well, with a proper Glen Larson approved movie coming out, what would you do if you were Universal, with HD masters of all the episodes (which were all finished on film like ST:TOS was) already in the can?

Nah, they laid all their 80s action out to show on Uni HD

That and because it's pretty easy just to run the reel. There hasn't been anything done to the episodes yet in terms of restoration to my knowlege. I'm sure that may change in the future with a new movie to pimp

Would that include the movie version of the pilot? (the one that was released in sensurround and had a widescreen, non-anamorphic dvd ) I hope that version doesn't get lost to time. I'd even buy it on its own.

I really have no idea what kind of master they have in the movie. They'd have to do it as its own disc because there's too many edits to it for branching to be practical

My DVD of the movie is signed by most of the cast still alive when the DVD came out

Jeff,

Is there any hope that the upcoming "Ultimate Edition" Harry Potter I and II releases will have improvement in PQ over the original versions?
