Is Bioshock as good as I've read? That's a game that looks like a heck of a lot of fun.

The first Bioshock is an absolute masterpiece of gaming. It doesnt have any multiplayer, but it has one of the most engaging stories and its just a great game.

Do yourself a favor and pick it up. Its cheap now.

I have my reservations about the 2nd one, but unless it gets horrible reviews I will pick it up regardless just so I can see Rapture again.

Other games I would recommend are:
Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dead Space and Infamous.

It's a neat steampunk story. Nothing that new or revolutionary, but fun nonetheless.

It was released on HD DVD as well...

Good point on "Feast", so where is Weinstein at now with its dire financial troubles? Heard that Basterds movie is making a ton of money for them I wonder if its enough to bring theirs heads above water to start releasing some BDs like Feast and Kill Bills.

But I don't understand how a movie like "Slither" that already has a HD master for BD done misses the Halloween marketing season. Confused here.

Especially when they had an HD DVD compression to recycle. I dunno

Don't forget Weinstein doesn't own the video rights to Basterds, they sold them to help pay to market the theatrical. The movie is definatley in profit for the Weinsteins, but I don't think anything new will be coming out of them while they're not attached to a larger entity. And since QT is planning Kill Bill 3, I figure they'll hold off doing the Weinstein version until it's time to hype that one (and it's an extra asset to bump their sale price)

The groundwork for KB3 was laid in the first movie when the Bride tells Copperhead's daughter that if she feels wronged, she should come try to kill her when she gets older. By the time he makes the movie, it'll be about 10 years later.

Let's not forget an armless Sofie Fatale and an eyeless Daryl Hannah (forget her character's name at the moment), who will probably also be smarting for some vengeance.

Don't forget that there was a Black Mamba in the trailer with her.

Hi Jeff,

Is it too soon for my quarterly inquiry regarding info/rumors for Team America: World Police?

Since you didn't see it with South Park, who knows?

March/April at the earliest, otherwise the following October and so on. The disc willl almost certainly come out at the same time as a new season of South Park

Hey Jeff,

Any news on Transformers: The Movie (1986 animated version) coming to Blu in the US?

If not, can you recommend a trustworthy site to order the UK version from?

Thank you. Do you know if it sold well on DVD? I'd look it up myself, but I dont know where to find that info.

Team America was always on the short list for HD release, it's on Paramount's early trailers. But like so many other things it got pushed to the side

Well, it is South Park's (the film) 10th Anniversary this year. The one and only DVD version came out mid November of 1999 so Team America isn't nearly as long in the tooth.

I just hope the BD has both versions branched, something Paramount is loathe to do (Gladiator as we all know now was authored by Universal).

they would have done a full-on SE of South Park years ago, but it took 10 years to get Trey and Matt to even do a commentary

Jeff, still no response from Disney concerning the omitted dialogue on the Pinocchio BD?

No, I don't see it happening any time soon either. Transformers 3 at the earliest

UK version is OOP, and most of the dealers on amazon marketplace there won't ship international. Youre best bet is to strike a deal with a brit

RE Pinnoccio, like with Pirates, it's more likely to just appear out of the blue (no pun intended). They are aware of the issue and thats the best I can do

Doesn't mean it bit her, though. Remember during the credits for VOLUME 2 every person the Bride killed gets crossed off, but when they show Elle, there's a big question mark instead.

Isn't this usually around the time of year, now that basically all of the 2009 titles have been officially announced, that TDB runs a major Rumor Mill update for 2010???
