Last time I checked Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson have all put on a little bit of weight. Hopefully they will have some form of shape to perform in a believable way. I do hope Bill Murray gets more than a cameo appearance though.
Well, I'm sure that they'll start working out when they get a start date. Look how much ackroyd slimmed down for BLues Brothers 2K

Being out of shape can play very well into the passing the torch concept.

Thanks for the reply, shame cause I love my amp and my PS3, can't afford to get a new TV and player or receiver 3D's gonna have to wait.

From today's Bits' My Two Cents:
Quote:
But among the interesting bits of "creative science" that Cameron conjured for the film and revealed on the panel are these little tidbits: 1) Pandora orbits a gas giant planet called Polyphemus in the Alpha Centurai A/B star system, just 4.5 light years away - the closest star to Earth.
What annoyed me is that "Polyphemus" is just a colored version of Jupiter, complete with "Great Blue Spot". As bad as Stargate's three moons, with 2 of them exactly like our own Luna, just turned differently.

To someone who studies the stars like me it's almost as silly as the labeling of NYC in A Fistful of Yen (Kentucky Fried Movie) as "Hong Kong"...and that was deliberate!

Just lazy, and I expect better from a perfectionist like Cameron. (Hey WETA: BOOOOO!)

HOWEVER, many of the 3d bluray players include TWO HDMI outputs so you can still get lossless audio so not all hope is lost.

'Morning Jeff.

I know awhile back you mentioned not really knowing a great deal about Wolverine and the X-Men, but I'm trying to figure out who I should write to regarding the boneheaded decision to kill it.

The 'official' excuse is the finance company backing out, but I would think Marvel animation could contract another one if that were the case. Also, given that the 2nd season was nearly finished (atleast from what I heard), it doesn't seem wise to let all that work go unaired. Some of our forum brothers are theorizing interference from Disney. Reps at C2E2 deny this, but y'never know.

Anything you could tell me about who to send a signed letter to I'd be grateful.

When did this happen? Are Hugh Jackmans days as Wolverine done? If so thats a shame because aside from Robert Downey Jr. his performance as his superhero character is amongst the best of all.

Of course, no one will ever be able to touch Christopher Reeve playing Superman/Clark Kent.

Yep; Animated series that aired (and still airs reruns) on Nicktoons network. Films from Fox are still on track as best I know.

It's been mentioned on this here site that an effective way to convey messages to the entertainment industry is to write a letter, sign it in ink, and mail it. Figured I'd see if Jeff knew who I should send one to in this case.

No idea who specifically controls fox's cartoon block these days. Just Fyi, Saturday morning is esssentially dead, and even in the 80s they typically stopped producing new eps after 3 years

Well, this show is neither Fox nor Saturday morning (new eps usually aired on Nicktoons network Friday nights at 8), but thanks anyway.

Info I've gathered suggests it's either Marvel animation needing a new financer or Disney, having just purchased Marvel, is trying to limit competion faced by Disney XD from channels like Nicktoons Network and Boomerang.

Maybe I just write to both?

It might have something to do with Disney taking it in house. If I remember correctly, one of the reasons they canceled the superb Spectacular Spider-Man was cause Disney was able to work with Sony to get the animated rights to Spider-Man back. That meant that all production of the animated cartoon had to end. I could be wrong but that's what I remember reading.

Quote:
Supervising Producer, Greg Weisman, told IGN yesterday that Sony has given up the television rights to Spider-Man, including animation, in exchange for "some concession vis-a-vis the live action Spider-Man features."

Weisman states: "Sony is NO LONGER involved with 'The Spectacular Spider-Man.' I'm informed that Marvel can now produce the series, but of course, they don't have to."

Jeff,

I honestly doubt you really care, but what are your thoughts on Activision and Bungie getting in bed together?

And no, Halo will NOT EVER EVER EVER be coming to PS3 for those who are wondering. MS, not Bungie owns that IP.

I think Activision backed a dumptruck of money up to their door, and bungie signed on

I doubt Bungie will let themselves be purchased again, and that they won't be able to get infinity warded

This whole Infinity Ward mass exodus thing really has Activision looking bad, but I do really wonder if West and Zampella ended up getting greedy.

I mean everyone seems to be running to the people at IW's defense, but nobody seems to really have a clue as to the real events that took place.
