That Bill Hunt is quick on the draw. Beat me to the revised number.

And please thank whomever takes your call. Paramount has really stepped up to the plate on this one.

Fair play Paramount.
Bill/Jeff/Robert, is it safe to assume that the now available 10th Anniversary Dutch (Universal) release is the same as the upcoming US disc from Paramount??

Quite possibly the greatest news ever:

A sequel to the VERY underappreciated and underrated American McGee's Alice
has been announced.

http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/64814

Alice: Madness Returns

For those who were disappointed in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, I HIGHLY recommend you check out the original American McGee's Alice on PC. You will get an interpretation that is much closer in tone to the original Lewis Carroll book.

Eventhough, its almost 10 years old (MY GOD!) it still holds up pretty well and has one of the best game soundtracks of all time.

We now return you to Gladiator talk.

Agreed. And hopefully more people would share your observation.

Very well said, Merrick.

The Robocop trilogy is up. Any word on whether the first Robocop will feature a new transfer and/or the unrated ultra bloody cut?

Im one of the few who actually liked the 2nd and 3rd Robocop films so this trilogy is pleasing news.

Bill, Jeff,

Are there any plans to update the rumour mill soon with whatever information you can get on what catalogue titles we can expect over the next 6 months or so? Its been a while since the Rumour Mill has had much of an update. You are probably tired of people asking but I would love to know if there is any chance of Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park and some of the other bigger titles you have mentioned in the past. Thanks.

Is there an email address too? I suspect that this scheme is only applicable to US residents but it would be good if they would do it for those that import US discs too.

We'll check, but it is almost certainly limited to US and Canada, which is the only place they own the film.

Thanks. I remember Buena Vista honoured the Pirates of the Caribbean exchange for those who imported the disc from the US, so its worth a try.

If not I will be looking out for details on how the new disc can be recognised on the packaging and rebuying.

Disney owns Pirates everywhere, that's the difference. It wasn't a violation of their rights to ship to those territories. We'll see, but I wouldn't count on it. With previous exchanges, many smaller import companies would use their suppliers in the US as a drop point and order them back to there as a service to their customers. Might want to check there assuming you didn't order from Amazon or something.

I hadn't planned on purchasing Gladiator on Blu-Ray but in support of Paramount's excellent handling of this matter I will.

If I order from Amazon now will I receive the new disc?

Yes I have enquired through my importer too, thanks. As I said if nothing else I will just rebuy it. It's the risk you take when you import I guess.

Has there been any word regarding the involvement of Ridley Scott or John Mathieson in the new Gladiator transfer?

Well, as Paramount owns Gladiator here in Brazil, might as well give it a try.
I remember WB sent me replacements discs for that Superman 14 disc set a couple years ago.

Maybe contacting amazon (where I bought mine) could help also. At least it did with Saving Private Ryan disc.
Or, with nothing helps, I´ll just rebuy it in a nice steelbook packaging.

Well, if HTF is to be believed, he approved the original transfer of Gladiator too.
