Incidentaly, my gf was attending the Kikuta panel during the evac, and during it a Jeff spoke about finding them later on the Dealer room. Was that you?
No, that was probably Jeff Lee, there are 3 Jeffs in guests. I did bring Kikuta-san, Yura-san and Shihihori to the con, and was one of the producers on the song they did however.

I've a few blu-ray concerts I might get for my next BD expansion. I actually looked for you briefly after the concert but got moving to my next planned meeting shortly after.
Someone would have pointed me out (next year!). If the guys weren't out yet, I was probably backstage

Quote:
Definitely. I was a ways back in the big hall and still felt the bass vibrating my vitals. Going first few rows to the HMK concert's not for the weak of heart.
Our sound company (DSL Sound) is fantastic. They treated the room to kill all the echo (if you saw Yoshidas you would have heard the effectiveness). They got a great sound balance, not ear splitting, but still a good punch in the gut. I typically sit at the board during the shows. Every year they impress me with their skills creating fantastic sound inside a concrete box. They're one of the top sound companies on the east coast, and they bring it every year.

A smartphone photo of the back of a Canon DSLR. Wow. Meta.
Yeah, he snapped it backstage. The label guy took the pic, and U-ichi obviously wanted his copy

Jeff did the back to the future series get a frame by frame restoration or a new DI transfer?

And what about the audio, did it get a remaster?

Bob Gale answers this quite clearly.

(And the film grain is preserved, so they still look like movies should look.) And hearing the sound in full dynamic range is — okay, I’ll say it — a blast!”

He went on to describe the new documentaries, one of which is called Tales from the Future. “I’m sure fans will enjoy the new documentaries, which include interviews with cast and crew members who — for budgetary reasons — were left out of the 2002 documentaries,” he explained. “So there are some stories and anecdotes told on camera for the first time. And since everyone wants to know, there are three very brief snippets of Eric Stoltz incorporated into one of the documentaries.” You heard it here first — finally, film footage of Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly!!

Finally, Bob gave us a description of just some of the remaining bonus features which to expect. “We’ve included an animatic storyboard of the nuclear test site sequence from the early drafts of Part 1; the galleries of stills and artwork have been rescanned at a higher resolution, and we’ve included just about everything from the previous releases as well.”

Complete DIs of films weren't made until 2000.

Have you guys heard anything from Warner Bros in regards to the 1986 film "Little Shop of Horrors" being released on Blu-ray next year? It's 25th anniversary is in 2011, and I keep hoping that somehow we'll get a restored original ending. I know it's unlikely, but I wonder if anyone at Warner has even considered doing it lately?. 'Cause if they are going to, they'd better get the ball rolling now!

They've talked about it, I would label 25th anniversary a likely time to see it

Restoring the original ending is unlikely at best. Geffen hates it.

Thats good to hear. Thanks for posting that.

I got a little worried about how universal was going to handling the transfer.

I'm encouraged. However, while the review is glowing, you really can't tell anything about the video quality of the release with screencaps that small.

Unfortunately not. They are incorrect; the 2.0 mono is regular ol' DTS.
