I'm sure he's fantastic and there's probably no better choice- I haven't heard them since. My favorite of their stuff tends to be the stuff Hide wrote, though.

I have a buddy who went to, if I remember correctly, three Tokyo dome shows. He has some fun stories about physically propping up fans who had fainted, etc.

Yikes...

As for the "war", I do love that Tropic Thunder has that little (improvised) scene to remind me of those days forever...
Just to preserve the link to that Tropic Thunder Blu-ray vs HD DVD scene:

Kristin Kreuk wasn't that attractive either.

So that would be like 2 songs (and the Hide version of Celebration is better ) Course no one else but Yoshiki is in any better shape

That's mean. I would never insult anyone like that. Of course her choice to play as Chun Li has probably ruined any little chance of fame.

On another note, I didn't realize you were in to metal Jeff. Japan is the country that most metal artists per to play in since their crowds are considered the most alive.

Jeff or Bill,

Are we still on target for Jurassic Park this year? It's still listed as a November release on Universal's Dutch site.

Let's hope so...

At this point if we we're getting those films on bluray we likely would have heard by now. I think Bill or Jeff have said as much. Universal is already giving us BttF and I have a VERY hard time believing they would bring out two of their big series in one holiday.

It would be nice though.

And not too many bands are capable of performing songs like Art Of Life in its entirety live!

It was always rumored to be coming in the Fall WITH BttF.

But I agree, we should be hearing real soon if it's still coming.

I cant find the post in which Bill or Jeff talked about it. It could be my imagination and it will be end up being announced tommorrow!

If that is indeed the case it will turn out to be a BIG year for Universal.

a lot of stuff that was on the table is off in favor of a more conservative lineup. Probably not a bad idea, concentrating on making one big seller per studio at this point

On the other hand

WE ARE X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(tremely sunburned/exhausted). I have to kill 6 hours till mmy flight in ohare

I don't consider this to be a bad idea and lets not forget November and December titles havent been announced yet. Those have always been good months for titles and the two most anticipated (at least for me) arrive on October 26th.

Jeff,

Did you say that CBS was releasing NCIS Los Angeles on bluray as sort of a test case?
Why not release the original NCIS most recent season?

Yup. And it probably wouldn't take you too long to figure out which one I've long dreamed of using on the soundtrack of one of my movies.

Hey Jeff,

Im curious if you have played any of the new Mass Effect 2 Overlord DLC and if you thought it was any good?

I would recommend you check out the Redemption graphic novel if you haven't already.

I definetly want the graphic novel that explains the who the Elusive Man actually is.

Ok, so we're screwed. Oh well, if they think people will buy lesser titles, I think they are mistaken. But whatever, they seem intent on botching most everything anyway it's no surprise.

They need an azzkickr like me in there running things...

No, I meant that by releasing fewer titles, that we will buy more of the lesser/marginal titles "just to get more titles". That may have been true in the early stages of the product life cycle, but I think the studios are mistaken if they think this will make the marginal catalog titles "more successful"...

But I still say if people are happy with Alien and BttF, and having just those two...that's still rather pathetic, especially when theatrical releases of bigger blockbuster titles were fewer this year as well.
