I'm going to take a stab at this - Little Fockers will be available seperately and they'll offer a box/slip case that has all 3. They'll likely be identical to the films as available seperately, much like was done with the Pirates of the Carribbean films.

There will no doubt be discounted pricing for buying all 3 together, not willing to pay $20 each for these, regardless of how much I like them. Hoping Universal did a good job, their catalog transfers tend to be on the weak side.

Jeff, has there been any word from image about the defective Twilight Zone Season 1 discs? A lot of us are having issues with discs 1 and 4 (1 will play on my PS3 yet it skips, and 4 won't load at all)... Some PS3s will play the discs fine though, so if its a firmware issue then it doesn't affect all units. Other brand players are affected, too, but not all of them. Originally, several people got an email form Image saying that there were faulty batches of discs and since then Image has changed replicators, but a follow up email stated that they discs were NOT faulty. Just like to get some definitive answers.

I have to ask, is it reasonable to wonder if the year 2011 will bring us any closer to being able to resume playing a disc where we left off?

You should call Image customer service for replacements, but this is the first I've heard of this issue
You can already resume playing where you left off. The feature has been moving in for the better part of a year. Try any Disney disc, most Magnolia titles, newer Fox discs like Alien etc. |

If you check the Twilight Zone thread here, there are numerous people who can't play the discs. https://forum.blu-ray.com/blu-ray-mo...coming-22.html Other reviewers have had issues too: (From DVDVerdict.com) "I wish I could recommend The Twilight Zone: Season One without qualification, but I can't. Although the episodes, transfers, and extras are stellar across the board, too many people have had problems playing the discs, including our own Judge Becker. Hopefully it won't be long before Image figures out what is going on and fixes the set's issues." Last edited by retablo; 12-08-2010 at 12:39 AM. |

Jeff,
Do you have any idea how the 2D quality (played on a 2D only bluray player) of a film from a 3D bluray looks compared to the quality of a 2D only bluray using native AVC or VC1 vs. the special codec used for 3D encodes? I ask because it seems studios are now putting a regular bluray in with a 3D bluray. Is there a reason for this? |

A lot of the 2D Blu-ray players do not have the firmware to play 3D movies. My HP laptop cannot even recognize a Blu-ray 3D disc with the HP player, I have to use Cyberlink software that has 3D ability to recognize the disc.
On a side note I am in Cancun and the department stores here have more 3D equipment than I have seen in any store in Maryland. Last edited by PaulGo; 12-11-2010 at 04:35 PM. |
