Don't worry about that crap. It's meaningless. Just buy some good quality Cat 2 (or v1.3a, if you will ) from Monoprice or BlueJeansCable and you'll be set.

It's an AC thing... If you run wires parallel, you make a transformer !!

man, if you were running long distance HDMI cables... I could understand your concern. But you're trying to run less than < 3ft HDMI cables correct?

yes, as much as practical.. Digital is much more forgiving than analog
If you need to cross, do so at a 90 degree angle as mentioned above

Haven't really paid attention to this thread but I know there's always talking about Monster and Mono. But what about DVI Gear. I'm seeing it on Amazon for $1.52 with $2.99 shipping. Should I get it?

I bought HDMI cables from Amazon for cheap. I forget who the seller was, but they definately did the job.

now if monoprice would just get the cables in stock, I'd be good to go. In the meantime, I've found upgrades to all my cables to specific lengths that is totally gonna help me clean up my wires.

Default Wow!

Someone who works for Monster saying that only Monster cables deliver a digital signal better than other digital signals? Does this have anything to do with the fact that he works for the company? Can the people who work at cigarette companies tell me how great their products are as well?

Noel Lee said," if you can buy any HDMI cable 2m or 6 ft is better than longer cable".

if you buy longer HDMI cable, then use Monster cable is better than other cable longer.

end story!

Stop posting info from Monster employees and claiming it is "fact".

If you believe in Monster advertisement, better run to Circuit city, 40% off on all cables right now.

My local Ovation will beat their prices regardless.

LMAO!!!

I wouldn't trust a test done by a company that is trying to prove that their product is better than everyone elses... especially when that company is always trying to justify enormously high prices.

I prefer third party reports... such as this one!

Holy hell people! Lighten up on Opips! He was only making conversation. I'm sure he knows by now that Monoprice works great for shorter distances and other companies such as Blue Jeans and Monster make better, longer HDMI cables. Sheesh. Why turn it into another damn Monster bashing thread. That leads nowhere. We have Monster cable stickies everywhere. If all you can say is that Monster sucks and Bose sucks, well, at least you can say it in the sticky. Taking one thread and turning it into a bashing and people bashing thread is just ridiculous. Enough is enough. So much f'n negativity and people slapping people in the face for something they probably already know.

I don't see any negativity towards the OP at all. Nobody said anything negative about the individual who created this thread. No "face slapping" taking place. In fact, I think that we are all WITH him on this one. He/she is clearly making fun of the fact that a Monster executive is trying to prove his product better than the rest.
