Captain America: The First Avenger is Criminally Underrated.

It's one of my favorites, and, to me, the true heart of the entire MCU.

As a Marvel movie, with an Iron Man sub-plot, it’s great.
But it’s not a proper Iron Man movie.

Anyone who says: Iron Man 2 is underrated and The Empire Strikes Back is overrated needs to have their Man Card and film rights taken away!

Good job am female then

(Seriously, entire original trilogy of Star Wars is over-rated. Much more enjoyed the prequels. Am norm trolling either...only got round to watching all Star Wars before Xmas and did t I’ve thought the OG trilogy or Force awakens, but enjoyed the rest)

I really enjoyed IM2.

the villian was crushed rather easily. but Mickey Rourke was terrific.

It's my favourite in the series.

Yes, I always thought Iron Man 2 was the most underrated film in the MCU. It was one of those movies, like Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest where people only focused on it not being as good as the first movie and therefore considering a disappointment or bad. True, it's not as good as the first but it's still a heck of a lot of fun, with a great cast and some stand out action scenes. I remember that scene where Iron man uses his new lasers to take out the drones at the end and the audience in the theater gasped in a "wow, that was awesome" way.

Iron Man 3 is still the weakest film in the MCU. In fact I would say the MCU is almost better if you ignore that movie since it doesn't line up with the Stark we see in Age of Ultron.

Whether it was great or not to you isn’t the point. It made $188 million dollars worldwide, got Downey an Academy Award nomination and there were two other writers. I was pointing out that both Iron Man 2 & 3 were written by Robert Downey Jr friends.

Well everyone has misses in their careers. I will say justin theroux is very talented and he was fantastic in Muholland Drive...he’s also an actor.

IM2 was nothing more than an setup for The Avengers.
Entertaining but kinda disappointing. I enjoyed IM3 much more, despite its issues and was much better than 2 IMO.

Civil War (e.g. Airport scene) takes the cake.

Yeah, who has even heard of that indie film Tropic Thunder? It was barely even released...

Iron Man 3 is a better sequel than Iron Man 2 IMO. Even though I don't own Iron Man 3.

IM 2 is gold for Justin Hammer and the scene where Tony and Rhody fight the drones. Goosebumps when those 2 start opening up and spray everything in sight.

IM2 is better than IM3 in my opinion. As much as I liked Black Panther I believe it was overrated.

Ironman had the best intro into the MCU. It'd be hard for me to not want to see what's next after that. 2 was good, but did not have the flow that 1 had. 3 broke down the character in a way that was not appealing to me (PTSD and all) and destroyed all those beautiful armors (in an effort to end his arc/story/whatever). I wasn't interested in his retirement or his human frailty (which can always be helped by his own technology). I can forgive a fake(?) villain, but not those things.

Tony's PTSD not only makes sense but it's the main motivation behind him wanting to create Ultron, so I don't understand the complaints about it. But I agree that destroying the suits was pointless. I get the symbolism of it and what it means for his arc, but nobody really believed Tony was actually through being Iron Man.

Having just watched IM3 again a couple of nights ago, he quite literally says that keep being Iron Man with his last line in the movie "There's one thing they can't take from me, i am iron man"

Exploding the suits wasn't about Tony; he did it to show Pepper she meant more to him than his work. But then Ultron happened, and he had to fix it...which put more strain on their relationship. By the time of Civil War, they had broken up, but something happened to reignite things by the time of Spider-Man: Homecoming. I took Peter's mentoring of Peter as possibly showing Pepper that he could be a responsible father, even without the armor...though she did flinch a bit when Happy revealed he'd kept that previous engagement ring all these years. But whatever the reason, Pepper seems to trust Tony more now on a personal basis, and not just a professional one. They always thought of each other as family, but Tony's top priority for so many years was either himself or his work. I haven't seen Infinity War yet, but hopefully Tony's in the process of changing that (don't tell me!)

Yeah it feels like there's an Iron Man movie in there somewhere which could have shown us Tony and Pepper fixing things and introducing the nano-tech armour. Shame there doesn't seem to be an appetite from Marvel to make another Iron Man movie
