I just saw it.

Finally a movie with balls. No pretty boys masquerading as tough guys in PG-13 rated action.

This was the best of the series. The story was great and believable. It demonstrated just how awful things are in other parts of the world.

And I liked the ending. It brought the whole Rambo story full circle.

Yeah, I hate it too when pretty boys try to act all tough & ghetto. You need believable, brawny people like Stallone at the helm when it comes to hardcore R rated action.

Watched Rambo The Fight Continues on blu last night, and I'm almost at a loss for words...this is one crazy-violent flick! Nice 7.1 soundtrack (that actually works!), too. Better than I expected!

Default Rambo is still the Man!

When I saw Rambo in the theater I thought it was a pretty good movie, that was very intense. The violence displayed was too real and graphic. I thought it was needed for the story, but this movie is not for the faint of heart.

I played this Blu-ray last night on my Samsung BD-P1200. While the movie played great, I experienced the "Fast Forward Menu" problem that was introduced with the V2.3 Firmware Upgrade. Whenever you access the Menu, the menu itself starts to click forward at a very rapid pace. Too fast to do anything with (like change the audio options, turn on subtitles, watch the extra features and so forth).

This problem also happens on 3:10 to Yuma and Walk Hard (IF you have V2.3 and a Samsung 1200). If you are lucky enough to still be using V2.2 OR do not have a Samsung 1200 you should be okay. The movie itself plays great and looks and sounds fantastic in Blu.

Story wasn't as great as I had hoped for. It is graphic but I need a little more. Same goes for the latest Rocky. Where has all the creativity gone? First blood and the original Rocky - much better storyline but that's just me. I liked it but I was all pumped up and ready but they failed to deliver. I guess the 1st are always the best.

I just bought mine on Amazon today. It does have awesome AQ and PQ and is a great entry into the series. I was waiting on the director's cut but the price is too good to pass up for me.

Most over the top violence I've seen in a movie, lately. It was an awesome ride! LOL!

Well, I got my Rambo movie. Went on bluray.com and saw an extended release, thats kind of depressing. Overall, great movie, loved the action, gore, and of course, Rambo. Only thing about this move, it was short. I would have loved to watch this movie for 2 hours or so. Maybe they thought the violence was to much for a longer version, or it just panned out that way. And is in no sense of making it longer and prolonging if it doesnt work. Anyway, would love to see another one, after Rambo goes home, maybe something could happen in the US? Maybe Rambo dies, of old age...

I know this has been asked a lot by others, but I was wondering if I could get a more detailed response.

What are the biggest differences between the normal Rambo Blu-Ray and the Rambo Extended Edition? Is it longer? What's added? Anything taken out? I heard from some that the PQ is better and from others it's worse, that true? I also hear that the audio is a lot better and louder, is that true also? Please let me know because I will probably be picking this up tomorrow.

Is it worth double dipping on?

For me the new cut was worth the double dip. Extended might have better Audio but the original had little better PQ.

Fullest English comparison between the two versions I've seen: http://movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=624222

Why would they do that? You'd think they'd leave the PQ alone and then just improve the AQ....

I'm more into audio, but now I'm on the fence about this one.

Is there really less blood and violence in the Extended Cut?

Original has just very very little better PQ.

Extended is a little better film IMO. I love both but I'd go for Extended 100%.

You propably won't notice the missing gore and actually the missing seconds strenghtens some of the goriest parts in the extended.

True, I see what you're saying. Since there isn't just bad CGI gore throughout, the scenes that have lots of gore will make them more intense.

My friend has it and said it makes the movie flow better, also.

I'll pick this up tomorrow along with Evil Dead.
