Return of the Living Dead? - Blu-ray Forum

Canadian Amazon lists Return of the Living Dead as coming out on Sept 11th on Blu-ray. Click to see. But I was thinking it was a mistake since I could not find out anything else about it. they do list a price and it can be preordered, so it is not just a placeholder page. I thought that they screwed it up because it was actually supposed to be the Special Edition DVD which is due out the same day. But then when I was checking today, I found this. So they now have a listing for the Special Edition. Anyone else think this is just a screw up on Amazon's part or do you think it is for real? I would really love to get this movie and will probably pre-order it. One thing to note also, the Blu-ray is cheaper than the Special Editon???

Sorry, the From Beyond disc is only DVD. I will probably buy that though. It has been years since I have seen that movie. It is also available in the US so you don't have to order from the Canadian website.

I decided to return this thread from the grave since the released date is getting close. I was pretty much resigned to the fact that Amazon was just stupid and listed this by mistake. Well, after a little more investigating, I found this one... DVD plus Now there are two sites that have this listed. Any of our Canadian members know anything? I really hope this is so. I may have to just try my luck and order one! I have been looking for other online Canadian DVD stores, but can't seem to find them!

This is interesting.

But I have to wonder if Amazon has this screwed up with the regular DVD release.

The only thing I've found is the DVD with the same release date. Plus on the Amazon site all the other Blu-Rays show the whole box in the picture where this shows just the cover artwork. But OTOH if this is an actual release I will definitely be picking it up.

It is. I googled the company's press release regarding these titles a few weeks ago and there was no mention of any blu-ray release at all - only DVD.

Could this be a Canadian only release? The cover on the Amazon Canada site is different than the cover on the US DVD version. Plus the other DVD site has it listed too. I may just have to order it just to see. I have purchased DVDs in the past that have been released only in Canada.

I preorderd this from Amazon Canada. It didn't ship yesterday and immediately went to will ship in 5 to 9 days, like it was out of stock. I doublt they sold out of it before it was released. Looks bogus to me and I don't expect it to ship. They will probably cancel this sometime soon when they realize it isn't coming.

My order has finally been updated to shipping soon and I cannot change or cancel my order. Typically it doesn't do that until they are about to ship it, BUT, the page for the Return of the Living Dead Blu-ray still says ships in 5 to 9 days.
